Need Some Advice From My South Cali Peeps...
AS alot of you know that I work for Alpine electronics and I love working here! recently I was offered a job at another company. I go for the interview tommorow but I dont know if I want to leave Alpine, I have made alot of friendships here and this company is a great company to work for. Now the other company (which will remain nameless) is a big company that makes navigation systems (among other things) for many vehicles, they have offered me $15,000 more a year if I go work for them.
Should I go leave this cool company for alot more money or pass it up and get paid ****?

i would go for it. but before you put your two weeks in, let them know what is up, and dont hesitate to ask alpine for more money or stock shares or whatever they have to offer, and then if they say sorry, cant do it... throw up two fingers and say peace.

ya i know its hard to leave a company you love but 15gs is alot of money...
i'd say take the job. who knows maybe alpine will make a counter-offer. either way the ball is in your hands cause you have 2 jobs now, you can ask for more money at alpine but if they refuse who cares you still have a job that pays more.
i was in a similar situation. i took the new job but my boss made a counter-offer i couldnt refuse so i called them back and told them i couldnt anymore. Best decision i ever made, now i'm alot happier here...

i dont know man.....15k more is alot of money. but have u thought of if u can stay at ur new job? they can hire u now, and fire u in 1 or 2 months.
have u been working at alpine long? if u have, i think u should stay just the fact that u have been workin for them so long and they will not fire you
well its up to you....take everything into consideration

I have been installing for about 8 years now and have been with Alpine for two years, it's hard to say what I want to do right now but I'll have an idea of what to do after I meet with these other people and see what this company's all about.

I would love to have a job with either...Ive been installing for about 5-6 yrs now..I can make some pretty cool shi^...my stuff has been in tons of mags...I've done wrk for bazooka, car audio, APC, Audiobahn, LJ Garcia, but i never got to see the real money, pluse my name never got out there wrking for the shop.... thats why i fab now on my own...maybe some one will see me one day and want me to wrk for them and pay the cash I deserve for my time in... just look out for that quick turn around where they try and say "o ya were looking for some one who wants long term" and then they fire you after your 90 days..thats the scary part....
Well I would first try and see if ur current company is willing to pay you what they are offering. If not then look at it this way, it's another chance to meet new people! + more money! I say go for it! You might regret it if you don't.
take the money..........
I suggest go to other co. and ask arround if employees have benn working there for a long time and how is the environment
then make your decision, also keep a good rep with alpine in case
it doesn't work out, you can always go and ask for your job back IMO.

This company is very big been in business for over 50 years. I met with them today and it seems like a good company. They have great benifits better than I have now not to mention that they close from Christmas to New Years! So if the y offer me the job I'm going.
