I got my first speeding ticket today doing 55mph in a 40 zone and the popo just rolled up and stoped right in front of my car he practically drove out from like a trashcan or something. Anyway people are saying that all I have to do is take driving school or something because it's my first offense and it should be alright so I hope thats true but my main concern is my insurance its already more then my car payment so I really don't want to see that go up but based on what people are saying it shouldn't go on my record if I take the class right does anyone know for sure?.

Modify is right.
First offense: Pay your fine, go to driving school (they even have online courses if you want). NO POINTS WILL BE ADDED TO YOUR RECORD, therefore your insurance will remain the same.
I think you can only take driving school once every 18 months. So be very very careful from now on... don't want your premium to increase 25-50%

yeah you can only do the traffic school thing once in 18 months...so jsut make sure you dont' get caught for another 18 mos and you will be fine. and fyi, do it online. it is SOOO SIMPLE!! and fast. it took me like 1 hour to do it all and i passed with like a 92. its better than watching those stupid videos, and sittin in a class on a sat for 8 hours when you could be out cruisin around....
Ya guys, this is a like a De ja vu for me, Anyways i got a ticket last week for doing 60mph for a 35 mph zone but this was at 2:00 am so i don't even no why the police was around when he could have been eating his donut! Anyways here are the coincedences (sorry for the spelling) 1. traffic school through a traffic school that they have listed to soutchcaltrafficschool.com 2. have a clean record ( no tickets in the past 18 months 3. you have 3 months to complete this and take a receipt to the court and then they will take it off your record. But i have to watch my back cause if i get another one before 18months my *** is fu***d SO WATCH OUT FOR THOSE HONDA HATERS !!!
if u get a speeding tickit agein u can go to school agein but its a 12 hour class and does not take it away 100%, u will not get a point but it will show u got the tickit and that whent to school to not get the point but most times for this they will not make u pay more...most compenys only care about the points. but here is the pain......the juge dose not have to give your the class if they don't feel like it. its up to them to give it to your and u can;t take it at home u must go to class to do it.
