I found out about this while going with a friend to a GM car club in Northridge. Anyways, we decided to go today with my car, and a friend tagged along in his 92 Corolla. Anywhoo, for those of you who don't know, Stunt Road takes you to the top of the LA (i think) waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up in the mountains. When you reach the top, the view is absolutely breathtaking, you can see the San Fernando Valley on one side, and like LAX/Santa Monica on the other, also you can see the ocean. Besides that, the drive is VERY scary and very dangerous. No guard rails and if you go down, you ain't coming back up.
Some areas you can kinda play around in, but I wouldn't advise it. In fact, I don't. I go up there just for the view
Directions: Take Topanga Cyn Blvd from Ventura blvd, and make a right on Mulholland (sp) then you go alllllll the way til you see stunt road and make a left then go all the way up til you see the part where everyone parks. Vague directions I know... very very easy to get lost though. I got lost on the way back and I got scared shitless. Pitch black road with no lights and cliffs. Be VERY careful if you try this out. Oh and make sure you have good lights if you go at night (preferably HIDs)
And again, I don't advise it IF you're an inexperienced driver or just plain 'ol nutz, go for the view, but I'm sure some of you won't listen to me and want to try it out.
Note: I am not responsible for any injury or harm to person(s) or property while partaking in this run.

Ooh.. I been there... about 4 or 5 years ago with an ex bf who was crazy, of course.
LOL
We let the car go neutral part of the way down .. not smart..
Scary thing: we were in the car, not making out or anything, just having "alone time" talking -- the car is foggin up... suddenly, I look at the window, and there is like a hole... LIke someone came up to the window and cleared a hole to look....
I know the car fogs from inside, not outside.. but it was creepy. Perhaps someone came up and blew hot breath on it to heat it? I dunno. It was just creepy, and I was like, "Forget the romantic talk, let's get outta hereeeeeee!!"

mango,
I'm going up there in a week or two. I'll see how my suspension performs. Eibach pro's.
They ran real good on a canyon run I did last week for a civic commercial but I didn't stay long after cuz everyone wanted to run eachother. But I had a blast on the way down.
I'll try to take some pics of the scenery...and whatever else comes up.
thanks for the heads up, had heard about this place but didn't know exactly where it was located.
BTW - nice sideskirts...bmw, right?

first off, I don't need to drive up to some high *** hill up in BFE just to boink. I can do that in
the privacy and comfort of my own home...
as for ghosts or anyone else that wants to try to make my run up there anything other than plesent. they know what to do...
