A drivers skill with their car and ability to know what it can handle will own 95% of the time. The other 5% when there is a fat straightaway opening is when they must pray.

those idiots took my butterfly out while we were in staging they said hey it will make you faster! I was like ok. then they forgot that you have to reset to ECU so when I hit WOT it took a **** and I couldnt get the car restarted. when I did I managed to trap @ 90mph so it wasnt that bad lol. I was also the one who next run hit the .500 launch! Thread Starter

If you read closely I'm gonna be there tonight I like the new SI's so I wanted to see how they do on the track! I hate those nasty little Hb's so you could run a 6 sec 1/4 I still wouldnt like your car! But if you are that insistent I'll be there! so if you wanna run I 'll run. YOu want a real race try one of the supercharged celicas we got comin they would be a good match F/I to F/I.

Rep Power: 0 if you're running 15's and catch .500 lights then i believe that you are a pretty good driver... i can hit a perfect light, but it doesn't mean with traction or without bogging out ... a stock celica gts would kill our civics but with a good driver, it could be a good race... my friend had an auto gts, i could keep up with in my civic easy.... i'm not sure about a 6 speed because of the diffference in gear ratio's from the sportstronic to the manual 6 speed but i'm pretty sure it would walk us... a good match up would be a stock 7th gen SI hatchback against a celica... they're both 15 second cars..... this is stock vs. stock tho...
if you think about it... gts celica w/ 6 speed tranny costs about 23k.... our civic are like 14 something out the door + sf turbo kit ($2900) would make our cars worth less than yours still... i dunno about dropping a lot of money in his car considering that your car alone with no mods still costs about 6 grand more... but then again srt4's are like 20k and those would rock both u and i..... anyways... chill homies... no need to start a flame war.. if you wanna race yourinmyw0rld's civic, great... but you came in here looking to race an 03 si hatch... i think you'd find better luck finding a race at http://www.ephatch.com ... hit them up and come back and tell us how you did homie..

Rep Power: 0 thanx boo! yeah I actually bought mine used for 12k out the door! I have over 50,900 miles on it now so shes holdin together rather well! I also want to get a turbo 7thgen on tape so I'll be lookin forward to running against yourinmy world if hes there! he'll prolly smoke me pretty bad lol but should be fun anyways! little_red's engine bay looks just like yours except she has the Ingen short ram! we'll have to check yours out sometime.

Rep Power: 0 um no you're lookin at the wrong celica! I had the 15.560 @ 88.95 mph on that run. ( not bad for starting in 2nd gear) that poor other guy in the modded GT-S was hittin high 15's all day. he blamed his 2nd gear so I showed him how to start from 2nd! cause I think what he was doin was shifting from 1st to 4th. He never did listen. He was mad cause he has CAI/E and was getting stomped by a stock GT-S lol
