Free Grounding kit install. =)
Free Grounding kit install. =)
Here are the basic points i know i can find some better grounding points but, if any one in socali wants a grounding kit picked up and installed its 40.00. maybe you give me a hand here and there. =) but i am always willing to help anyone with an install just contact me and i will try my best to accomidate you. =)
First Grounding point - negative battery terminal.
Second Point, from the negative terminal to the Tranny.
Third Point from the Tranny to the Firewall.
Fourth point from the Fire wall to the drive side strut tower.
5th point from the negative to the front radiator support.
6th point to the valve cover.

Benifits noticed, my gf car is stock, has 20K LX 7th gen civic.
1. Stronger Starts.
2. Smoother Automatic tranny, it some how responds a little quicker.
3. Brighter Head lights, stock head light blubs. Brigther than my neighbors PIAA's on the same car. LOL..
4. Throttle Response is improved. First thing i noticed when i drove the car.
5. MPG should be improved havent watched the odo to really keep track. She goes to calpoly and did notice a little better mpg.
6. Buzzing from a bad head unit ground is gone, she has a pioneer head unit about 1 year old sounds a little clearer, just the highs.
The grounding points arent the best but feel free to explore and look for better grounding, as i would have had better acess to more points if my gf had an intake or something. I will be doing a install on vanillaman's car.. soon. so look for his review.

provide an ultra low resistance connection. This will increase the primary potential of regular cars to ignition tuned vehicles.
low resistance ground path. A better ground gives more torque, better mileage, better response,
and better starting ability.

Haha!!!!! I had seen Vinylman before, but never Vanilla man!!!!! Almost like a super hero or something!
Anywayz, I have redone this ground and it helps maintain your voltage...it is a worth while project.
I have regrounded the engine and battery with 4 gauge Monster...I still have to do the Alternator to the positive to finish off the big three. I just have to figure out where the positive wire goes to the alternator. Doing these three things will cure a lot of the people's problems who have dimming and voltage problems.

Another satisfifyed customer!!

I had recently purchased Happy's grounding wires of which i paid only $40. I must make this clear that Happy only sells wires, so it did not come with instructions nor extra bolts.
I installed the kit on Friday, took about 2 hours because of the lack of good directions. If i had to do it again, it would take me 5 minutes to install it. Its that easy now.
I took out the G for a short drive on Friday night and I noticed a tiny bit of smoothness improvement, engine-wise.
What boggles my mind is that yesterday, my brother was driving my car, and he commented on how smooth the car feels, and how quickly and smoothly the shifter feels now. I did not even tell him about the grounding wires yet!
Another improvement that I've noticed is the ability to squeal the tires from the 2-3 shift!!!!!!! Its so easy to do now!
Conclusion: Go get yourself some $40 grounding wires from Happy (i cant seem to find his thread on here).
Improvements: Faster shifting (6MT), ability to chirp the tires from 2-3 upshift, noticibally smoother engine response.
