Whats up guys! Jeff and a few others work over at Verizon, hey I was wondering if you guys knew when the LG VX8100 is going to be released? It says Q3 but do you have an estimated release date when I can get in the stores? Also is there any additional hookup discount I can get for being 7thgen member?!?! Is there any other phone that has near the features of that one that you might recommend? It's time to trade in the LG VX6000!

It should be out July 11th and possibly July 10th at the Circuit City locations. I can't help you out with the price, but the phone is a pretty good deal anyway. It is $199 on a 2 year agreement and will have a $50 rebate. Considering the features on that phone I think it is a fair price. I can't get mine until next month so I'll be jealous. We already have a few thousand sitting in our distribution center so it should be a firm launch date. The only other phone I would consider would be the upcoming Samsung A970, but it is still probably 2-3 months away.

Awesome man, I figured it would be around $200 with a 2yr plan. I saved $200 a side for this phone, I can't wait to get it. I want it the day it comes out. You should post up when it is released so I can run to CC to go pick it up. It's going to be the shiznet, i love LG phones

LG phones are the best on Verizon. Plan on it being the 11th, but if you went into Circuit City and schmoozed them up right you could probably pick one up on the 10th. The 8100's were supposedly shipped to the stores yesterday to be there in time for the weekend. Each store will probably only have a small number in the first shipment so I'd jump quickly if you want one right away. Even if they wouldn't sell one to you on the 10th they might hold one for you.

heck yeah i'm pumped. i cannot wait for that new lg phone to come out. The dual stereo speakers built in along with the mp3 player and sd card slot is the ****. Man that thing is going to be my own personal portable jukebox, gaming device and communication device. It's got tons of cool features and is going to be awesome. $150 is a killer price, i was expecting it to be much higher, but that works for me

I've been out of town for the last few days and when I went into work tonight it had been pushed back to the 15th due to low stock. If you can find a store that has one you may still be able to pick one up. Several people on Howardforums already have theirs and are raving about it. I spoke with a Circuit City in Tucson on Saturday and they were expecting their shipment tomorrow. It looks like it will be hit or miss until the end of the week. I'm bummed out too because I want to order mine. I'm going to see if I can slip an early order past our employee plan group.

That may not be an offical release pic of it. It's badass though! 1.3mp still images, dual stereo speakers, the dedicated front mp3 controls, internal 512mb ram, (more memory than lots of peeps computers hahah) and the mp3 capability will be nice, can sit here at my cubicle at work and jam out to my phone all day long , bluetooth will be super nice as well. Mini-SD card slot for additional storage, plus it's got a nice enhanced 3d graphics card for playing some games on the phone. It should be fun and keep me busy at work here. The 15th is Friday, I can wait till than I've talked to 2 CC stores, and both said their shipments of freight will come in on Tuesday, I gave them my name and # so hopefully if 1 of those 2 stores get them in tomorrow, I might have it. We'll see.. if not than i'll go pick it up on Friday.

The release date was moved up a day to July 14. Have the store double check the rebate terms though. The information I have on the rebate still shows July 15 as the effective date. We don't have the actual rebate forms at the call center so I can't check for sure.

I have to wait till August 10th to order mine, well I can order it now, but I changed my contract after I bought my vx6100 so i dont get my $100 credit till august 10th. Hey do you know with that new every 2 thing, they say you get $100 off your next phone, is that in addition to the rebate? So that phone will be $199 - $100 instant rebate - $50 mailin = $49.00 after rebate? Or do I not get the rebate and just $100 off?

Hey is that in written writing like in the verizon policy book or anything that you could email me? This chick at the verizon store over at az mills says when i buy that phone I get a total of $100 off the phone, meaning $50 from the already rebate and $50 for the new every 2, so in reality that phone will cost me $199 - $50 instant rebate - $50 mail in rebate, which would leave me at $99 bucks. Is that correct? Thats how she put it to me, it didn't make any sense, I would have thought I get the $100 instant rebate for new every 2 and also in addition to that the $50 mail in rebate. So yeah if you could email me a verizon copy of that so I can use that to get the correct amt off my phone that would be sooper!

I don't have anything I can send you, just find a salesperson that has a clue. The only time the rebate comes into play is if it brings the phone under $100. Then you would only get enough of a discount to bring the phone to free after rebate. Since the 8100 is over $100 after rebate you get the full NE2 discount. If you have an issue speak with the manager or order it through customer care. I'll check my PM's but I don't think I've received one from you lately.
