ebay question...
i found an auction for a good price that was ending in 10 minutes....no shipping price was listed....well i won the auction (for a sony psp) and the guy emails me the invoice for $35 shipping. and he tells me hes sending it UPS Ground from LA.
now i have shipped 18 pound amps to LA 2nd day through USPS for around 13 so i told the dude to come down on the shipping...if he doesnt what are my choices to do..that ammount of shipping makes the deal not worth it...i could go to the store and buy one used and all the stuff he has for like $15 more and not wait on the shipping..
what do you guys think?

dont bid on stuff unless you know the whole story. ebay is a binding contract, i sell alot of stuff on there and given that i try to be very upfront and disclose ALL costs unlike this seller, but it is not fun to have someone bid and then not pay. Be polite to him and he should come down on the quote.
consider him a very nice seller and good one.
but next time, if you dont agree with shipping cost, then dont bid. even if sellers are charging an item for $10 and shipping is $50. fast learning ppl would know that the seller is obviously making the profit thru shipping. thats why those auctions dont offer picking up.
im sure you've seen auctions where items were like $0.01 and shipping was like $50 and that was the catch. why? because when u search for lowest priced items first, it will be seen on the top of your list when u searched for it.

i dont mind paying the shipping cost that is listed
what i mind is when it says shipping determined by zipcode, then get gouged.
he was one state away chargeing $30 shipping for ups ground on an item that wieghed less than 10 pounds..

You can argue the shipping rate w/ebay if it was not listed and 18 surely isn't even close....but that's your option if ur not happy w/14 for 2nd which i'd rather pay 7-8 bucks and get it by the end of the week. Good luck ebay sucks soemtimes...well only 50% of the time..lol
