Tail light mod...HELP!
Ok, so about a week ago I was experimenting with my carbon fiber tail lights. I removed the plastic that makes the tails flush with the body in an attempt to paint the cf part the same color as the body...anyway in my futile attempt to remove the protective plastic in 1 peice, I tore the ***** freakin plastic up! Now my tails look 3-D. Cool look...but the red plastic that covers the bulbs is easily removeable. Im talkin one hand and a little wiggle. I tried to seal it up with some clear outdoor window sealant...but I havent washed the car yet...out of fear that I F up my car somethin fierce. Anyone have any suggestions as to what to seal them up with, besides that sealant? Im afraid the heat will eat through that cheap crap...
any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

silicone should work fine. Jut make sure it is completely sealing the pieces together. It dries in 24 hrs.

that looks pretty sweet actually. Has it been in the rain yet? Looks pretty solid unles you see holes, just use some silicone from the back if you can. It tends to get everywhere and hard to wipe off.

i would carefully put some wax on the plastic parts so the sun doesn't fade em.
