cause i have spent about a total of $500 on my car in 2 years....that includes $250 for new tires and $40 for brake pads.

ya..like $40 on expanding foam, $10 on wire for my system, ummmmm...$8 in paint and clear coat for my dash, $50 for sound deadening mat.....then like $150 for all my speakers, amps, headunit, kick panels,

oh crap..i got some $95 springs...


so $600 total.

I was looking at some until the last year or so and not worth the cash on a civic. If anything they will be on a higher end car I get in a couple of years, but the civic is out the door here soon so a HID system wouldn't benefit me just the next owner

Yeah the price has come down a bit since they came out but still a little pricey for some lighting. Rather get some other stuff done to my toys.

I'd love to have HIDs, just dont wanna spend the $ and whats the situation w/ high/low beams? only low beams? or is the high/low $600+? I havent done much research all I know its it's a little too expensive for me

no, its an H4 (5000K) kit that plugs right into the stock housings...
i used to have a set of TYCs way back in the day, but i didnt care for the look of them anymore
