got a question
ok, guys with the lowered rides, did you leave your bump stops in or out, or did you cut them in half. I need to know because I left them in when I dropped my car the first time and I just bought new springs and was wondering if I should keep them in or cut them in half or what? Any advise would help, and FAST! I heard taking them out gives your car more travel, then again, I heard they save your shocks from blowing, let me know,ASAP!
oh yah, I already searched for an answer so don't tell me to search

i cut mine...cant remember if they were in half or all the way off. either way, i have blown shocks...but that could be from a number of things...(700 pounds worth of batteries and amps in there for a week could do it)

theres a foam thingie (yes i said thingie) on the rod in the shock its a yelloish green thing. it getts smaller from 1 side to the other. it nees to be cut in half when lowering the car.

well, installed the new goldlines and they rode awesome, I cut the bump stop in half like you guys said so thats it I guess..........yah for no more school!!!
if you lower your car more than 1.5" you should cut the stops down to only about 1" on the rear struts and the front ones should be cut in half. Ground-ccontrol suspensions has some foam replacements that you could even get from them if you really want to. i think they would proally charge you about $20 for them with the shipping. just in case you dont want to mess with it.
