I tried to drift tonight
OK so I watched the final episode of Sex and The City and had to go let out some frustration. I LOVED THAT SHOW . No, I'm just kidding...it was raining focker. what better time to try out some drifting. I learned a few things. A) My car slides on train tracks in the rain. and B) the best way appears to be: get some speed up, crank the wheel, grab a little e-brake until the back end lets loose, drop the brake, drop the clutch, and countersteer. WooHoo! I had some fun! Anyone else go play in the rain?
i used to do that all the time when my car wasnt stock. you got it down right. i do the exact same thing in terms of technique.
except try this, i found that you can direct your car earlier if you drop the clutch while the ebrake is still locked up. you shoot out of the drift a little faster.
oh and the best place to try? if you are on the west side, go behind what used to be costco. it has a big long turn and its smooth. and you can practice either from left to right or right to left. and do a bunch of sweet 360's if its wet enough and you go fast enough.

^^^^^I used to go behind their and go tray sliding. Its were you put two trays from a Mc dees' or wherever and throw them on the back tires, pull the e-brake and pop the clutch! The back end goes crazy. I got pulled over behind the old costco for doing that.

Oh shi t this sounds fun. I went behind some business at Grove Parkway and Kyrene. We used to do tray sliding with our feet and hold onto the back of someones truck or car wing.
