EMPLOYED y0!!!!!! :0) hey all...sorry to be post-whoring it up tonight. ive been preoccupied with "work" & been away from my precious Internet for 8+ hours LOL! yeah...thats right. Joey is employed again thanks to the immediate attention of a friend over on OF.com and her businesses quick and needy recruits.
last week Wednesday, i spoke to Mysty @ OF's Hooter's dinner meet thing about the position. i was interested after she talked to me about it at length.
i got in touch with her the very next day, she made some calls, pulled some strings and i got a phone call from "Jen" of Korbis Group interested in me. awesome!!!! so she did a sort of over the phone interview with me, said she'd do what she could since i was a friend of Mysty's and directly referred me and she'd gimme a holler back.
a mere 2 hours goes by, she calls me back. i answer & she proceeds to tell me she got me in & that she already ran my credit, did this, did that, and i was good to go for Monday @ 8am at their Maitland location (today fyi).
sahweet i thought to myself. so the rest of the week, i was anxious to say the least! Monday (today) finally rolled around, and i got up 8 minutes before my alarm was set for @ 5:30am. weird. i was thinking about that freaking movie "Exorcism of Emily Rose" thanks to my visit to the movies with Jen and talking to her about 2am or so........yeah so my mind was wondering. *3AM OMG I WAS AWAKE! hahahah!*
annnnnnnyways, so i get up, give myself PLENTY of time, get out there for my 8am call time. and to make a longer story a lil shorter--but notSOmuch--the next thing i knew, i was in training with 11 others *3 guys, 8 women--and YES i mean WOMEN mostly...LMFAO!*, then going over this and that about the company, taking a quiz, taking pictures for our security badges, getting headsets, logging into the system after receiving user names/passwords, and getting a basic tour of the grounds. it was fast & furious training as they called it.
here's the breakdown of the job:
*Korbis Group is the recruiter.
*WildCard Systems is the employer.
*American Red Cross is the current and MOST needy client right now that we *take calls for but once they run out (looong time from now), there are over 200+ other clients to work for in the same job.
*inbound only.
*no sales.
*all customer service request-type calls.
*i will be working with like 4-5 other OF members & having 2 others working around the immediate area...which is mad cool y0! (Becca & Mysty *next door building*, Nick (7thGen AND OF member) *down the street a lil ways*, Kyle, Ryan, & Winston in the same group as me. more to come im sure. lol.
*its pimp tho. guaranteed FULL time or PART time *whatever your preference in your interview or phone convo.*
*very interested in weekend work and pllllllenty of hours to go around
*"casual days" Friday - Sunday
*paycheck each week Friday direct deposited
*looking like 1 hour unpaid lunch break but not positive if thats just training only.
*& overall, not a bad job.
ended my first day hanging out with Kyle listening in on some of his calls and shootin' the **** otherwise when there were no calls. it was great!
tomorrow is day 2 and FINAL day of training, Wednesday im on the floor with a mentor group...next time, im all set.
i made the easiest 80 bucks ever today...heh. 9 hours - 1 hour for lunch.
