I got JL 1000/1 in really good condition. Works 100% with no problem. I also have JL 12w7 in ported box. There is notting worng with anything. Only reason i am selling it because i got 2 tickets in a one week for the system. $72 each.. I just bought it for $1650. I will sell the whole system with the amp sub and box for it. for $1500.00. Ticket is not that big of a deal, but my brother just traded in this civic and he is giving me his JL 500/1 and 10w7. So i think that is a nice lilttle setup for me for now.. what kind of box are u putting yours in? and what amp? and what kind of car is your friends have?.. Oh ya in your civic you better have extra battery and the big 3 done. After adding the battey and doning the big 3. Almost all my dimming went away. my headlight still deam, but very very little. Cant notice it unless you look right in the headlight.

ya sure lol... Well my stock battery i had messed up because i left my light on inside the car over the weekend like couple months ago when i was drunk. Since then it never charged right, so i bought one from discount for $50.. I guess it had more cranking amps and stuff... Next i got a stinger battery for the back, and then upgraded all my ground wires in the hood.. So call "BIG 3".. The JL built box its not ported is it???? I really hope it is because this subs will shine in the ported box. I am sure you know audio stuff. It is pointless to have jl 1000/1 pushing 12w7 if its in sealed box becuase rms on the sub is no way close to 1000watts rms.. You can push more power to it in ported box.

So then i need to put a batt in my back? Cuz they said all i needed to do was switch my oem with a red top.......What all do i need to do to put a batt in the back? How much was it to upgrade ur ground wires? And....If i dont like my box can i buy urs? lol


O and they said it would be about 100-150 for parts and labor plus i buy my own batt to have one put in does that sound about right? So that i would have my oem for my car and what ever i buy for my system
