Well Ryan recently suggested this, and I know alot of you have though of it... but how would you guys like to do like a once a month BBQ/Potluck? Theres a very nice park by me, in the Hiawassee area called Turkey Lake Park, it's about 5 dollars a person to get in, and theres adequate places to park all together. It has plenty of free cooking zones and picnic areas, covered large "huts" for us to eat in, a lake and all, and is pet friendly. I was thinking mabye we could do the BBQ on the first (or last) Sunday of every month, possibly around 1 or 1:30 p.m. I figure most everyone wont be working on Sunday and that 1 or 1:30 will give you time to go to church if you do (I get out at around 12:15). I personally can't cook on a grill, but I'm sure some of you can. We could all bring like one item, and before hand we can get meat for hamburgers/hotdogs. We could do like a isngup list then write your name and what you plan on bringing. This would be a cool once a month event for everyone to get away from work/school/significant others (lol) and just hang out and eat some good food. Tell me what you guys think and offer up some more input! =)

Why not make it somewhere in the middle? Haiwassee or however you spell it is still really close to you Brad and believe me I live in Kissimmee so nothing is really close to me. I just think we would have a better response if it was somewhere in the middle of everyone.

I was suggesting a place that i know is firendly to big groups, is a nice area, has all the tihngs we need and is cheap. I've been there also... so I'd know.. if anyone else has suggestions throw them in. I'm not saying this is how its gonna be im starting the thread so people will wanna do it, somewhere, anywhere, i just think we all enjoy meeting up we just need someone to get us going =) yall are always like thats to close to you brad! well guess what i dont ever see you guys mkaing suggestions for meets....

There are so many parks that are big group friendly and that you don't have to pay. There is a park here on 50, I think it starts with a B....It's near the UCF area. So brad if we were to find one closer near UCF or in the middle you would drive out? It's just a far drive for us to head over there....if we could find somewhere in the middle of everyone that would help out a lot.

there is a park on 50 & dean wich is really in the middle of everyone.. called Downey park... Then also one on dean between university and 50 called Jay Blanchard... That ones real nice too.. football feilds baseball fields playground for all you kids... um.. basketball courts... A big *** trail... grills... covered areas.. all kinda shizz.. but yeah this is gonna be funny its gonna be like fast and the furious shizz.. haha... but yeah im down for it but yeah hiawasse is hella far...

Is Sunday around 1:30 a cool time for everyone.. since it's gonna be like a 30-45 min drive for me 1:30 would be better... and josh bro we can meet up at the McD's then caravan on I-4 together there =)

Cool but do you mean this Sunday or another Sunday? I need to know official dates for this kind of stuff so I can schedule accordingly. We should make it at the beginning of Feb or something that way we can get enough people to show I know the President of Club g35 and his group is at least 25 strong so if I gave him enough notice he would more than likely show with all his members or at least most of them.

ucf area si about 45 mins, the ricer meets are about 30 mins... nice try for that one.. pat were gonna make this like the first sunday of every month... so you can just ask for those sundays off then reschedule...

nice try on trying to make me look like dumb but i was referring about when we have meets and such for us not like rice meets. So what if we bitch and moan...it's far for us in our opinion to drive. Maybe you like to drive and don't mind it but some of us do. Like I said we should just find something in the middle of everyone to make it easier

We also may not be able to ask for the first sundays off of each month. First we would have to go to our manager, then it would have to go through to the manager of our dept. They also usually keep track of when you're off and such and don't really give it to you unless it's a good reason...then it kinda makes it worse that we're both in the same dept...it sucks.
