Second gear never popped out Brad it was 3rd that wouldn't go in sometimes and on occasion it would pop out if I didn't put it all the way in the gate. There is no more grinding 2nd gear and the shifts are a lot stiffer. They replaces 3/4 and 5/6 synchros as well as my shifter cables and stuff. Oh yeah I am trying to get Learie to go this Friday because we are putting some rims on his car.

I have been having some grinding problems with trany going from second to third at very high rpms 6,000 to 7,000 rpms. Could that be the same things?

Yeah I think it is the same thing my friend with the SI has the same prob. You might want to check that out it makes a world of difference. Oh yeah got my JDM shift boot and shift **** not to mention my JDM COIN HOLDER ! LOL JDM YUS!!!

i think i need 1/2 2/3 3/4 4/5 and hell why not reverse while im at it. argh. sucks to drive a notchy, grindy honda.

all you guys with RSX's, you should check out, read, and sign the petition some1 made a loooong time ago about the RSX trannys...i bet something will get done about this BS in the future. just wish some1 would make something remotely similar for the 7thGen coupe/sedan/Si as well. we ALL need it! bad!

Acura did do something about it there is a TSB on certain VIN#'s for the problem I just took that in there and told them about the prob and when the service guy tested my car he replicated the problem. Brad I got the Aluminum Type-R shift **** not the titanium one I can't see myself paying 200+ for a shift ****.

Oh yeah the JDM final drive isn't good for boosted cars you accelerate too fast and you won't get everything out of the turbo if you do that but it is really good for NA cars

I talked to Acura about my gears on the phone. They said there was a recall for it but my VIN# didn't make it in the range they had listed. So my notchy gears still suck at the moment. I dunno if I should just drive in and ask them to look at it.

Do it, my Vin didn't fall in the range either but I said screw that I have the problem whether my vin is listed or not. Do you go to Fountain Acura? Melanie is really nice and I always try to deal with her if I go in for service. On a side note I might be selling my JDM headlights with the HID kit if you are interested let me know.

LOL, All my hid stuff came in today along with my oem fogs.. but I'm mad at Do because he wont gimmie my oem headlight backl and money for the cf hood... I can't start putting all these things together until i black out my oem headlights./. ohh and i think it would be wise for me to get honda to install my oem fogs so they can replace all the parts I'm missing when I took my bumper apart lol... the hids dont look that hard to install.. just need my oem headlight back =*(
