My first mod!!
I know its pretty sad, but up until now, as long as I have had my civic, it has remained completely stock
I had the opp. to get ahold of a 2003 civic ex sedan gauge cluster and jumped at it.
It took two days to rewire and hook up, two blown fuses, and a radio that still wont unlock, but its done!
I had two 12inch cathodes left over from a computer mod so I decided to give uncle ben a call and he hooked me up.

Haha nice. I know they sell kits for the dash with different led colors. I forget the site. But how did you end up wiring it? I'm assuming the plugs don't work and you just have wires tied from each pin or something? I don't need to do this now, but smeday I may have to when the custom ones fail. Temp needle is already broken.

I would do a DIY but I dont want to take my car apart again, if I had to do the swap again I dont think it would take me more than 15-30min honestly.

So how did you end up wiring it? I had the same cluster lights as in your first pic and they were terribe. Here's what mine looks like now...

I will tell you for 1500 pts

Nah but seriously, the plugs are a direct swap, all you have to do is use a little tool that removes each cable from the plug, re arrange them (they click back into place) and plug them into the new cluster... It honestly wouldnt take long at all, I didnt cut a single wire, and could put the stock cluster back in at any time with about 15-20 min of moving wires around.

Good to know thanks. I have the pinouts in the other thread and a cluster just like yours in case anything bad happens. Only thing I don't like are the red needles...but I'm not messing up another cluster. What did you do about mileage being different?
nice mod ry looks good. glad you got it fixed give me a holler if you have any other problems. the people that have seen my ride can attest that i have like evrything done except for the motor swap and thats on the way. so i have pretty much seen it all.

Miles are so close to matching I am not worrying about it right now, if someone finds a cheap alternative that will flash the cluster based on the ECU I will go for it, but until then its very close.

I hope many more mods are to come, do you still have your stock hood? If anyone has a NBP coupe hood (with the painted trim in front) I will trade you my chrome trim+20 bucks for the painted
