well, it finally happened. here's an excerpt from my latest EJ (http://SOLO7thGenEX.EasyJournal.com. ...an online journal website). so sorry so long. im jus waaay too lazy at this time of the night to type out something completely the same on here.
here it is:
".......the rest of my workday was smooth sailing until i began to notice about 5 minutes of continuous vibrating in the pocket of my work pants. at first, i noticed it was Do calling me. i knew i couldnt take calls at work. so i brushed it off and figured id call back once i got off at 3pm. keep in mind tho, it was like 11:30 about now. around 30 minutes later, im STILL getting vibes in the pocket and about now im getting bad feeling vibes in my body and mind. thinking it was an emergency i explained to Vinny (the immediate supervisor in charge that day) my situation. he told me to callback and make it quick cuz nornally CFA policy doesnt even allow calls during work.
i called back Do thinking the worst. indeed, i thought correct. he regrettably informed me that "I'm so so so soooo sorry man!" over and over again. i put 2 and 2 together and asked what happened anyways to make certain. he then told me bout the collision and that it wasnt "small" by any means. immediately--since Vinny was in the office with me--i told him i needed to "emergency-leave work." he thought about it for awhile and then reluctantly agreed to turn me loose.
i hauled my *** over to the scene...the median from the exit of Holler Honda. first i slammed on the brakes in the turn lane to act histerically inquiring where MY car was and WHO hit MY car. the cops at first didnt believe me till i mentioned the following. "bullshit officer, where is my 2001 Honda Civic EX coupe driven by Christoper James Do!!!!!??!?!????" immediately, they pointed me to the parking lot of Holler Honda. i peeled out in front of the idiots as they were cuffing the culprit that hit Do (good sign so i thought!). finally made my way to Do and my OMG ITS WRECKED Civic and just about broke down with tears...but for the record, I DIDNT THIS TIME! hahaha! *sticks tongue out* i went over to Do in embrace and immediately we comforted each other as my pile of metal was lowered from the tow truck to a customer parking spot. i whipped out the cell camera and snapped a couple "proof and posterity" pix and then Do went over his side of the accident. here's his account of the wreck:
..."i got the estimate performed 100%. at the end of the deal, they informed me that all you needed was a new cabin filter and 2 of 4 new motor mounts. everything else checked out awesome...even your clutch amazingly enough! then...i was leaving the dealership making a left out of the lot. i crossed opposite traffic fine. sat in the median for a couple seconds, SAW the buick in the center lane i think, and saw nothing in the left lane. i started to make my way into traffic and then next thing i know is, *SMACK, BAM, BANG, SCRAPE ETC...* then it was all over and i felt like jumping off a bridge. the only other thing i remember is the dumbass that hit me or i hit him thinking about taking off for whatever reason. also i remember some of the Honda employees rushing out to my aid and apparently calling the cops and a tow truck. then i called you 8728758245 or so times till you responded. next, we got the Civic out of the hazard of traffic and into the Honda parking lot. then, you showed up along with your parents a lil later on".......
with this account hand, the parents finally arrived to the scene. we went over the damage lil by lil and then approached the officers for the rather stunning conclusion with twists like a damn reality show! ugh! the officers explained that in THEIR opinion from accessing the damage on either vehicle that they were charging Chris Do with "failure to yield to traffic" which was an $80 citation. remember how i stated earlier about the other friggin homo getting arrested when i showed up?? yah, the gay cops (male AND female) arrived at the conclusion that the reason for the arrest was "completely unrelated to this traffic accident." they stated that the reason this freak was arrested was becuz he carried a restricted/suspended/w/e license and shouldnt have been on the road at all. apparently this had NO bearing on the sentencing of the crash. stupid *** 1986 Buicks and their drivers. and we wonder why most every1 hates COPS! there's jus ONE of many reasons why! so, mom and dad leave a lil bit later and i get on the cell and hit up State Farm claims. i was on the phone for a good 20 minutes with them getting my claim all worked out. a lil ways into the call, Timmermann and Liz show up and tried to console the two of us while staring in awe and disgust at the remains of my beat up Honda. after everything was all worked out with my State Farm Claims rep, i hung up and we began the brainstorming on what to do with the Civic. we talked with a couple of wandering Honda employees and they commented that it was one very nice, sweet, and one of the cleanest Civics they saw when doing the inspection on it jus 1 hour prior to the current time. shoot, Do even told me that one of the guys in Service asked Do if the Civic was an '04!! HAHA...i guess on account of the taillights?? idk...lol but nice to confuse a HONDA EMPLOYEE! *grins*
so after some time thinking. we decided to take 2 cars home and pick up one of my *thanks again Courtie & Cait* Firestones, floor jack, tire iron, and some other stuff. we then went back to Holler Honda and installed the Firestone in place of my busted Si rim/tire on the right-front so it would HOPEFULLY be driveable. after we deemed it safe we set up a safety train like so...
Protege......Civic......Sentra
all with our hazard lights on and working (even on my car..haha sorta kinda barely) we were on our way home. AT NO MORE THAN 30MPH! awwww...my front-right suspension was soooo whack that over 30 made my ENTIRE car shake violently and make the whole ordeal too unsafe. soooo, 30mph we did from 1792, to Horatio/Howell Branch, to Aloma, to Tuskawilla, home. about a good half hour later, we finally made our way safely home. parked the Civic, took some digital photos of the car with Dad's camera and mourned for a bit. eventually put the Civic in the garage front foward, hung up my detached front bumper above the car via bungee cords and went inside. Timmer and Liz left about this time for home. cuz btw, today was Christoph Timmermann's 20th Birthday and this accident ALMOST ruined the plans of the day. Timmer and I were supposed to be painting our calipers today after i was to get offa work. lol...didnt happen tho. so yah, Timmer/Liz went home. Do and i chilled in my room, watched a pretty good movie (Grind), got cleaned up and dressed up for birthday dinner at Kobe's in Altamonte with like 82558635 other ppl......."
well...and here's the part about my experience with Courtesy Collision of Oviedo, FL:
".......then i thought to call up Mr. LoPiparo to see if he could aid me and my ailing Civic to Courtesy Collision Center. he agreeded and came right over.
we drove out to CCC offa Alafaya at no more than 30 mph with hazards a blinkin. lol it was kinda funny to be driving my jalopy on the roads at that sad of a speed. couldnt go ANY faster tho cuz even at 30mph the car was violently shaking interior-wise on account of the front-right suspension damages. anyways, we finally made our way up to CCC and Joe left me after i thanked him...off to work for the day. i got on the horn to State Farm to obtain my claim # and all that BS i would need in order to get an estimate. took a seat and was waited on like 10 minutes later. btw, i must add; CCC Alafaya is a NIIIICE facility. drive thru COVERED parking, nice lounge area, awesome employees with a great deal of care, and excellent service to boot! back on track here...
Bob Allison who is affiliated with State Farm did my estimate for me. after it was all said and done, the total hit above the 5 THOUSAND dollar range! i was like, WHOOOAAAA there! lol...and to think, the officer on Saturday quoted an APPROX. estimate of $1500 in damages on the scene! what a couple a disrespectful ppl they were/are/will continue to be. BAH w/e!
so, contained within the estimate after inquiring were all my aftermarket parts wreaked havoc upon including the following: my Right Front 2003 Si 15" rim/tire, my right front JDM/Black-Housing headlight, my OEM foglight setup (will use on new bumper but fit in there properly and more than likely we be wired as well!! YAYY!), and yes; even down to the friggin reflective silver vinyl VTEC sticker was included on my estimate! also a part of the final quote were a new HONDA OEM front bumper, new side-skirt-ish thing railing do-hickey *LOL*, new 1/4 panels, new door panel, paint, and all that goes with it. Bob told me adamantly that State Farm believes in NOTHING but OEM-only parts at this shop. that made me feel 100% secure in my thoughts considering the bad experience i received from Recovery Room back in January for my AFTERMARKET replaced rear bumper! all in all, i was like, WOW, COMPREHENSIVE ENUF?!?! geeeeezzzeee louise! needless to say, i was QUITE impressed and dumbfounded on how awesome these ppl are to a mere "almost-there adult" in this day & age! very nice indeed! well, after the estimate was taken and the guy went inside to do some paperwork on the estimate, Timmermann came to pick me up (i'd called him @ work like 15 minutes previous) and we chilled patiently awaiting final tallies and my signature on the work-order form and whatnot. while waiting tho, we got to check out some of the other cars at the shop. 2 in particular that showed up today were: a Black Acura Integra Type-R that looked to have slid under a semi/bus/raised SUV with severe front and front-left impact points, and an undeniably sexy 2004 Gunmetal Metallic Acura TL Type-S (i think?) 6-speed with OEM body-kit, split 18in. gunmetal rims, HIDs...the works; with a pretty bad backed-into left rear door panel. the lady was real cool about letting Timmer and I stare in awe at the most majestic of Acuras ever made! she even told us bout the accident that happened Saturday night. she said some A-hole backed into her in a parking lot Sat. night! we said we were sorry but that no worries, it'd be fixed in a jiffy and her car is STILL hot stuff regardless. she thanked us and we went back to waiting.
finally, got all my paperwork signed, looked over my copy of the estimate all set in stone, and headed out.......

Neuspeed Race....front right. yah...the strut assembly was knocked counter-clockwise approx. 90 degrees. riding out for home after the wreck and then to the collision center was "interesting" to say the least. haha

Im glad no one was hurt, and it does suck that Chris got cited. I'm wondering if that can be thrown out of court being that the other driver had a suspended/revoked liscense?
Once it's fixed and everything is A-OK, everything should be back to normal..
Hows Chris holding up? I haven't seen a reply from him..
