It must be racing season...
Cuz the cops don't care! I was sitting at a light on my way home today, there was a uniformed officer in an unmarked Crown Vic in the next lane over. Its one of those delayed lights and the other side went first. Light went green for the other way and 2 Mustangs have at it... now I realize that Mustangs aren't the loudest cars in the world (in stock form), but its kinda hard to miss the sound of tires barking 2nd gear. I look over at the cop, with this look like "aren't ya gonna do something?" (I hate Street racing.... I think its stupid), anyways... light goes green, He just toodles a long like nothing happened. I wish unmarked cars had numbers on them... I'd a called his *** in. I know he saw it... the only thing separating him from it was a 6" tall concrete median.
Why am I such an *** about this stuff... because my mom could be driving around, and I don't want anything happening to my mom on the account of some stupid, dumb**** who needs to prove his needle **** is a little longer than the other guys. Keep it on the track kids. If you've got enough money to mod your car, you can damn sure raise the $25 to get on the strip.

If that was the case then he was a real *** because he should put down his donut & do his damn job.
To protect and serve...or go get donuts
What get me are the cops that come with their sirens and changing lanes at 100 mph like whoa. Then all of a sudden they just turn off the sirens and go back to cruising like nothing happened. Maybe the call they were on got canceled or something?

Seems like all cops would jump right at someone street racing because they can throw all kinds of tickets and fines and the people. Then again sometimes cops don't really seem to care. Like this morning there was one on the side of the road doing his radar in a 45 zone and I went by goin about 65 cuz I was late for work. No blue lights no nothin.

Lol... your goin off a bit much boiler.. you seem to forget, that especially around here.. paying 15 bucks and driving an hour for the track to be open 5 hours, assuming you get more than 3 runs.. it might be worth it. Street is (relatively) free and the track is far, inconvenient and costs immediate money (as apposed to maybe a ticket, if you get one).
BTW: I six inch concrete wall would royally '****' my car over... and I'm not unsure it's not horribe for any car, even a big body vic..
Maybe he was going home.. maybe he didn't care.. I can't say I would go after every single thing...
Also true... jurisdiction...
When I pull up on a decaled impala or vic, or similar, I always check the jurisdiction of the car..
I have pulled right up to a Houston P.D. and at least 1 fire marshall got right at their mirror, waved and droped it...
Some cops cant do **** about anything...
If your smart you can basically get away with a lot. Just walk up to a cop and ask them, blue vic.. what district/jurisdiction are you.. im trying to find out who I should wave down around here in case I need help..
They will tell you.. and then you'll know. It's easy..
And yeah.. sometimes they have just got back from a catch and don't feel like immediatly going after another.. I consider it luck.. just becuase it was 'racing' instead of speeding is no better reason to get bent out of shape than whether your underage neighbor doesn't get in trouble for drinking or smoking pot, it's a small difference that has little to do with the fact that they are getting away with it.
