im not gonna say the cop was an a-hole, but he caught me red handed, on the road i NEVER take

this made me mad, cause the one time i take this road, i get tagged

now he said he clocked me at about 81 in a 55, and my speedometer said around 85ish, its kinda hard to judge but anywhoo.. he dropped it down to 79 cause i was honest i guess.. just goes to show, dont speed down places ur unfamiliar with

I'm pretty lucky I guess, I haven't gotten a ticket yet, even on my 3700 mile road trip to LA and back, and we were speeding like ****'s down highway 1, and 101 in california. Not like those SUV's could catch us on those crazy twisty roads anyway.... (Note: I'd never run from the cops... I just like to think i can...)

I only got one and that was 4 years ago: 45 in a 25. $265 ticket. I threw out my radar detector the day before because I thought it was worthless. Heh. I got a lawyer cuz I was 16 and that would have killed my insurance. Still had to pay the fine... but nothing on my record.

Yeah, welcome to the club. Get a lawyer so it won't go on your record. Or in some states, you can pay the fine and the court won't tell the insurance company... It's called Deferred Abjunction or something.

Edit: If you go through with the Deferred abjunction thing, you CAN'T get another ticket for the next 3 months.

Take traffic school. In Cali you can even take it on-line. That way you don't pay too much for a lawyer and the ticket will be off your record in two years; also the insurance won't see it.
