DOPE A$$ M3 BUT BAD A$$ DIVER

yesterday my friend (with civic ex auto stock but dropped) my 2 cuzins and me got into his car to get something to eat around usc cuz its open 24 hr. after getting our tocos we were headed home. we got cought on a red and next to us was a black sweet m3. the driver looked like he was in his late 20s maybe. i guess he was trying to race so on green my friend takes off and hes behind and i thought he wasnt going to race so my friend slows down and he just passes us really fast. we meet on next block red light. turned green again then my friend takes off faster again then he comes next to us like 2 seconds later and passes us but we had to turn so my friend stopped. anyways m3 should of burned us from the start but dam he was some bad driver who cant drive a stick. it was waste of a nice car, he should just give me his m3 and he could have my civic.

for those who will say he probably wasnt trying to race trust me if u were with us u would know he was.

Not really true, bro. I have seen plenty of people who can't drive driving M3s. Specially the trust fund babies in Scottsdale, AZ. They figure they want a BMW and talk their parents into buying them an M3. The car doesn't make the driver (although the M3 does compensate for some people's lack of driving ability).

Very true, most people who purchase Top end High performance cars really have no Idea on how to drive them. There are exceptions, but they are far and few between. An example of this, the local POC (Porsche Owners Club) puts on a Charity autocross every year to benefit the Injured police officers fund. Well The Local SCCA chapter is happy to help so we get to run too. Long story short, of all the Porsches that ran that day (about 25), only 4 had better times then me. I know the BS flag pops up here, but its true. The people who own a lot of these cars 1. Don’t know how to drive them and 2. Don’t want to push the car hard because it’s a Porsche and they don’t want to hurt it. (Kinda pointless to me)

Of the 3 that put down better times, the three I can remember were a Race prepared 911 (Mid late 80’s) who races with the SCCA as well. A Highly Modified 914 (it had a Ford 302 in it) and finally a mid 90’s 911 Turbo. I think the last one was a Street modified 944 but I don’t really remember.

The moral to the story, Just because you own/drive a sports car doesn’t mean that you know how to drive it.

I totally believe you... in autoX, you need to know how to put the power to the ground and control it, not just lay it down. It has so little to do with the car and so much to do with the driver its not even funny. You see all these people show up with Corvettes, Camaros and SVT Mustangs and do so bad because they can't control the power in the corners... They spin out or over run markers because they think the car can make up for not hitting the brakes or overdoing the steering input. Seems to be the cheaper and older the car, the better, cuz theres less of the fancy gadgets... it's all driver.

He added the word "but" in there so it's pretty obvious he meant bad

My favorite is when the guys with the MR2’s come out for the first time, and they have no Idea what Throttle Lift oversteer is. So they go flying in to a corner to hot and freak them self’s out. Lift off the gas, thinking it’s going to slow them down, and end up spinning the car. I’d love to get a shot of their faces when the *** end of the car comes whipping around on them and they come to a halt faseing the wrong way. That’s always funny.

Maybe the M3 was automatic. It's really sad but they make automatic M3's. I call them "waste of cars"

You do not have to know how to drive to beat civic with a new M3. The guy did not want to burn tires or hurt his lovely engine at the start, but later he would push the gas pedal little more and overtake civic. Lol, civic even had 3 passengers and was stock auto!!! You could put retired man into M3 and he would smoke the hell out of that civic if he wanted! End of story.

Yeah, I wasn't really debating that, I was just saying that just because he was driving an M3 doesn't mean he knew how to drive. I used to own an E36 M3 and spent plenty of time at the track with it getting to know what I could and couldn't do. Even a normal start at a light would have the M3 WAY out ahead. In this case, I would assume he was doing that defensive driving technique of waiting 3 seconds to make sure no nut ball blows thru the light and destroys his $56k toy.
