goodbye si

coming back from mcdonalds i realized i was following a black 2000 si with an aem license plate. he was flying along as we approach where the road splits into 2 lanes (rt. 202). at the split im in 3rd gear doing sixty. now he already has a car head start (since he is in front of me) yet i still walk him and put more than a car length on him by the top of 3rd (~84). i move over since the roads going to turn into one lane and put on the blinkers to let the rice kiddy know that him and his fake hid garbage just got owned. this pissed him off, so he tailgates me back to town going constantly from third to second to third to rev at me. its kinda sad, even though i expected more of a challenege...maybe the si driver couldnt drive?

that first 2000si i raced put up waaay more of a challenge than this guy.

i guess you forgot about the insane 111 lbs of torque (without his aem intake) that the si produces and also im assuming that you forgot this was a race from 60 mph

1999-2000 Honda Civic Si:
1,797 cc / 160 hp / 111 lb-ft @ 7000 rpm / 2606 lbs / 0-60 mph 7.4 sec.
Horsepower = rpm x torque/5252.
2001 Honda Civic EX:
1,698 cc/ 127 hp / 120 lb-ft @ 6300 rpm/ 2542 lbs / 0-60 ?
EX gear ratio
3.143 1st
1.870 2nd
1.241 3rd
0.970 4th
0.757 5th
3.231 Reverse
4.412 Final Drive

gearing difference? i cant find si gear stats but i sincerely doubt they would have higher than 4.40 gears.

me with the mods ive done vs an si with an aem intake, ricelights and a driver than cant shift correctly.

side note: connie, you should stay out of this, you dont know ****.

i like how u just pull your stats from your ***.. go and actually weight the cars.. my friends si weighed 2480lbs.. my vic 2610... our hp and torque is 127hp at 6300 and 114lbs at 5400.... w/ your i/h/e u only gained 5hp at the wheels.. an si w/ just intake will gain 3-4hp alone.. B = better gain then D.. but the most likely factor was.. he wasnt racing your dumbass

lol 2400 lbs. thats funny, ive checked a total of 3 different websites and the lowest curb weight was 2606

http://www.modernracer.com/history/h...02history.html bottom of page.

oh and your civic is has a slushbox. i drive a standard.

even with your "114 @5400" im still generating more torque at a lower rpm than an si.

and yes he was racing. i only caught him side by side at 80.

dude torque doesnt do **** for you at 60mph...except maybe chirp into the next gear...which i highly doubt you or the si has to worry about at that speed.

well since horsepower is derived from a motor's torque, ill have to say that you dont know ****.

"Horsepower = rpm x torque/5252."

uh yeah sure dude....so does that mean you are gonna get spanked by a vw diesel golf...especially from a 60mph roll......you know that massive top end blazing 4k rpm tq it puts down!...LOL dude...you are hilarious...hp is tq over time...so in essence your car has less "tq over time" than the si....and you need "tq over time" from a roll...which you have 33 less of...whether how much you weigh or not...ide say the difference isnt going to make up the 33 "tq over time" difference...i guess thats why si's trap high speeds in the qtr than ex's...they have less tq....booooooo sheeeeeeeet....you tard!...they may have less tq....but up in the rpms where racing matters the most its putting down more hp or shall i say again...."tq over time".....dude instead of preaching some formula you probably stumbled over on the net...why dont you plug in some numbers...i highly doubt the 00 si is making 111lbs of tq at 7k....considering max tq is around 2800rpms...looking at stock dynos it looks like the car is pretty much useless between 2800rpms and 4800 or so rpms....from a 60mph roll you wouldnt have to worry about those rpms with an 8k redline unless he was low balling you and trying to race you in 5th....do you have a drag slip? your trap speed is a really good indicator of how much hp, oooops man sorry "tq over time" you are putting down...if you arent trapping atleast 73 to 75mph i highly doubt youll be pulling 2 cars from 60 to 80mph on an si that is modded....but i guess your ex could defy the law of physics because of that massive 9lbs of tq its putting down more at an rpm you wouldnt even be racing in at 60mph.

SlammedBlueEM2 is on a distinguished road
He just posted this to argue. He knew people were gonna ask him about his mods. He knew he wasn't gonna tell. He knew people were gonna call bullshit. He knew he was just gonna claim bragging right in the end because it's important that only he knows his car is really better and he's the better driver. Since he thinks that way, there's no way you're gonna convince him otherwise.

So why argue? You fell right into his thread because he likes to argue. And now he's getting off on himself about it cuz other people are showing how stupid they look.

ok, first of all, your car is a gay piece. Since you are not telling us anything about your mods, I'll automatically assume it's stock.

I don't know why you posted up all this garbage about how your puny sohc ex can beat a dohc b16 powerhouse. First off, from your story, this Si does not sound like he is racing. Second, you're a stupid shitkid who doesn't know crap... flashing your emergencies? Damn, only ricers do that ****. No wonder he got pissed off ... because some cockass with a stock ex just tried to race while he was just cruisin. Him racing? I don't think so. Your sorry sohc car has to TRY just to keep up with a 6th gen Si ... go hit up www.car-videos.com and read up on their custom statistics of a 2000 Si vs. your stock motor.

It is pretty well known that the 0-60 of a b16 is 7.2 seconds while the d17s stock are right around 8.4 seconds. So what makes you think that you can beat this guy? Maybe a couple bolt tons? Well you might be able to beat a '02 Si stock, but not a 6th gen.

Oh and another thing ... 7th gen ex's don't have 120 pounds of torque ... they have 114. Good try, though.

All it sounds like to me is Like WEEE passed him while the guy wasnt even looking or ready to race. Then the Si guy tried to catch up but wasnt able to make up the difference in the time and space given. So to say Like WEEE owned him is an overstatement and not really a fair race IHMO. But whateva..
