my civic & a SS camaro
i was on the way back home from a job and found myself sitting at a red light with a pretty nice camaro SS... he had tinted windows so i couldnt see anything really but i thought that i might just try to floor it once the light turned green. after about 3 minutes the light switched to green and out of no where the camaro was hauling **** and so did i (tried so atleast). we got off the line at the same time and were actually even uptil 40mph (thats when its time for me to shift in 2nd on my HX). we went into second gear at about the same time i would say but from there on he just kept gaining distance and i kept falling behind.
i went up to about 60mph and we both slowed down cause the traffic got thicker again and he had to turn.
so..in second my stock HX had no chance in keeping up with him but off the line in first gear up to the redline we were equal. it was hella fun and a good ending to my long day

Rep Power: 0 alright, im gonna try to prove that point. give me some couple of days and i will either post a clip of me going 40 in first or i will just post that i was wrong.
...my intention was/is not to have this be some stupid thread, i just meant to share my story, thats all. it was fun no matter what and i think that is the most important aspect.

Rep Power: 0 our cars go up to 30 in 1st on a 5spd! thats up to redline and in my car at least, i gotta 02lx 5 spd...im not sayin i dont believe u, could be true, but one time i tried racing a camara ss, a black one, and holy crap!!! i had no chance if my life depended on it, he just kept takin off and gaining like there was no tomorrow lol. those cars r fast as hell!!!!! maybe the camaro u raced was auto, i dunno
question: do u have auto and u shifted to d2 when u said it was time for u to shift into second, casue i believe that the first gear in auto runs up to 40mph, but def. not the 5spds

Rep Power: 0 i believe you dude no worries In first you may have keep up for a few seconds then as soon as you shift hes gone thats the difference between or cars and muscle carslike camaros mustangs its a totalyy different power band glad you had fun though. peace

Rep Power: 0 ok, i didnt get a chance to tape me going fourty in first, for two reasons, one i didnt have the time getting to tape me driving and second. i wont go up to fourty.
im sorry that i was saying i was able to do it, for osme reason i was under the impression. i saw that i have to shift at around 33mph, but thats it. so i appologize.
now back to that story, there was a good chance we was just playing with me or whatever, but it didnt seam like it, it doesnt matter to me though cuz it was fun.
peace and sorry again about that wrong statement of mine.

Roadrunner: of course they own you and almost everyone here. if anyone says that their civic (na, non-motor swap) can own a camaro, they're so full of **** that they sweat fncking diaherria
