RunnIn with the cops

Alright so I am cruising along my local streets on my way to my hockey game with my friend. As I am cruisin along (through residential area) I see a green light about to turn yellow.....so I floor it hoping to get to through the intersection before it turns yellow. Well, as I am speeding through the intersection at 70 mph!, my friend yells "cops!, cops!, cops!" <----like straight outa fastandfurious. Well it turned out there was a patrol car with his parking lights on, just chillin about 100 yards past the intersection. I was like faaaaaaaa\/\/k ! I slam on my breaks in hopes to slow down to about 25, but right as I slam on my breaks the cop is already on the opposite side of the street (in the middle of the street)....and shined his flashlight right at my car. I was like omg...that dude is signaling me to turn over. I was like f*** that, so I turned left real quick and the next street, blacked my lights out and lost his a$$ b4 he could find me. I was scared as hell, being that I am 19 and I already have 4 speeding tix. If there would have been an officer already in the cop car, I am sure I would have gotten tagged! wheww.......hopefully they didnt catch my plates in the action....good thing it was at night.

Thats what I do! One of my friends got tagged cause he didn't slow dwn for a yellow light. You are supposedly supposed to stop for a yellow if you can....Ha, like that is ever going to happen

We have no choice but to stop at alot of intersections here. They have red-light cameras. You run the light, you get your picture taken and a lovely yellow paper in the mail, demanding you pay them $100 bucks. It's all good though, cause I can't count the number of times I've started going on the green, and some dumb-*** went through the VERY red light of theirs, just so they wouldn't have to wait 1-2min. and just about clips me.

white2K2EX: I am in total agreement with you, this moron could have killed somebody.

This kind of thing is the reason why cops look at us in our cars and think he will break the law at least once if i stay behind him.

No kidding. I don't understand why this guy was even near 70. Let's just say since he wanted to slow down to 25 the speed limit was 30. Now, he floored it to get through the yellow because his time is so precious. But with the pick-up our cars have, he had to have been going 55+ before he floored it. So...

Why the hell were you going that fast before the intersection you fawking dumbass?

I hope you live in canada... cause I wasn't aware there was any warning when a light was about to turn YELLOW... I also hope no one else was on the road, otherwise I don't really care.

well around my house, when a light has been green for awhile, you know its going to turn red pretty soon. I didnt run the red light at all. I barely even saw the yellow when I passed the intersection. This was also at like 11 at night. No one is one the road that late, except cops and bad guys.

i think the law on "running yellow lights" is that if the light is yellow, you are legally allowed to CRUISE through the intersection. you CANNOT acclerate at all. usually this doesn't pose much of a difference, but if you have a loud *** exhaust..then it'll be very to tell whether you're acclerating or not, hehehehe

So let me get this straight you tell me to shut the f*** up because I point out the obvious blatant disregard for your own life in your post. You said it was on a road, so that being true the speed limit at max could only be 55mph, since that is the highest I have ever seen a speed limit in a resedential area that has roads to turn off on to, and houses in the area.

Now that would mean, like the other guy said, that you had to be doing 55+ to shoot through the intersection at over 70mph. Then you know that a cop saw you and you know he was going to pull you over, but instead you floor it, now well exceeding the 70+ that you just said you were doing to get through the intersection. So you were pulling close to 80+ on a road where out of the blue a car could have pulled out in front of you.

Now I'm not saying that speeding is bad, because I do it, not to the extent that you do it, but I still do it. And as for racing, I keep it to the track only at Route 66 in Joliet, IL on Tuesday nights. But you need to think next time before you pull something like this out of your ***, because you are not a proffesional road course driver so I highly doubt that you know exactly how your car is going to handle when you rip a turn at 70+ mph while runnning from the cops, and if you don't learn from this then I will see you on America's Scariest Police Chases sometime soon.

ok you need to stfu once more.

First, I never said I exceeded 70 mph...and you are over here saying blah blah you were going 80+ mph. At the most I got up to 70.

Second, I dont see you go around to every single thread in this "Steet Encounters" section and "point out the obvious blantant disregard" for their lives when they are street racing. Ever single thread in this section has someone telling a story how they were breaking the law in some way or another. Thats what makes this section fun to read! So, if you are going to be pointing the finger, dont single me out, tell everyone they have a "blantant disregard for their lives"!

I personally frequent these boards for the info i.e. detailing, problems, etc....

However, this whole street racing (and running away from cops) thing is disturbing.

Whatever you guys do, just remember that most regular folks just want to safely make it home. Whether it's 1:00pm or 1:00am, they don't expect to be killed by some idiot going full speed on a public street.

Many of you guys/gals need a reality check.

Maybe a dead child or family will do____and one is enough.

If you guys/gals want to kill yourselves, then go ahead. But just don't include us.

hey rudeboy666, thank you for making my point stand firm.

And the reason that I am not ripping any one else in the street encounters forum a new one for breaking the law is because at the same time they weren't running from the cops while doing it. That is what makes you the king of all retarded people.

But anyhow I am surprised you got away. If they want you they will get you. BELIEVE ME. wscjunior you said that you have ran from the cops. Be careful bro you don't have one of those "blend in with the crowd" cars. A yellow car sticks out like a sore thumb on the street. The cops will start to know your car and watch you, and bust your ***** hardcore. They did it to my friend in his GSR. It was some bright *** bluish/purple hey look at me color and he used to get pulled over all the time and they used to bust his ***** just cause they knew his car.

I didnt exactly run from the cops. They have to have a blue or red light to pull you over. I dont think shining on a flashlight on a car would fly in court, as a means to pull someone over. This is why cop cars that have those stupid little orange lights on top cant even pull you over.........(in california that is)

Ps. you guys make it all out like I am in a high speed pursuit from the cops or something. Dont assume the worst

he might have just shined the flashlight to let you know he was there and to spook you into slowing down (sounds like it worked). If he wanted to catch you, he would have pulled up behind you and not worried about the light.

or maybe he mistook his flashlight for a radar gun, hehe

Oh, I'm sorry. I really am. So you post here to make people think you're real cool for standin up to the 5-0? Young ***** got it bad coz he's brown? Don't get pissy when your plan to sound like you've got some monster sized ***** doesn't go as you thought it would.

You seriously have made yourself sound like a real idiot. Let's look at the examples...

well around my house, when a light has been green for awhile, you know its going to turn red pretty soon.
That's called a stale green light. Did you ever take drivers' ed?

First, I never said I exceeded 70 mph...and you are over here saying blah blah you were going 80+ mph. At the most I got up to 70.
That is the lamest defense I have ever heard. Is there any difference between someone killing a man with one bullet versus an entire clip?

And finally... do you have a learning problem? You're nineteen years old. You have four tickets. That's more than one a year since the age to start driving is 16. Well, if you got a ticket with your permit maybe one a year. Now I may not be the smartest man in the world, but I think that after four tickets in that short of a time span, I'd be a little more cautious about the way I drive.

Running through a traffic light, no matter what color, at 70 MPH, is really stupid. Running from the cops is more stupid.

Wouldn't hold up in court? Hell, the cop shined the light on you to see you and/or what you were driving.

You already have 4 speeding tickets, and you think some judge is gonna look kindly on you if charged with evading the cops?

It's time to wise up, man, before you don't have any license to drive even a moped.

PS: You the one said it was like outa Fast and Furious". LOL. Big time desparado, in your own mind.
