Owned by a Tiburon
I was driving home from tennis practice in my auto 02 Civic LX when this kid from my tennis team pulls ahead of me in his dads 2003 Tiburon. I said alright, this car will kill me but its worth the fun.
So, we go down this country road and get it up to 55 and I am on his ***, and then we start racing, I floor it, he floors it (he has manual) and he shoots ahead of me like I was f@$king standing still. We were both in 3rd the whole time and we hit 100 when this dude on the other side of the road stares at us like we're crazy. So, we slow down to go over railroad tracks and then drive a bit more b4 we hit a curvy area, we both floored it and I dropped it to D3, this time I kinda pulled on him for about 2 seconds and then he pulled away.
I like the look of the new Tib but its still a frickin' Hyundai, why the f#$k can't a reliable Honda beat any unreliable cheap Hyundai's????
This is basically my first real encounter and it sucked (it was fun, but I got my *** kicked), I don't know how you other guys even race, wtf is the point to race 127-150 HP when almost every other car on the road could own us Civic.

you are in an automatic civic. do i need to say more? im betting that a freaking vw golf turbodeisel would roast an automatic civic if the vw was stick.
oh and when you have a stick shift, all other cars on the road dont own you, only a good portion of them.

To the poster of this thread with the altezzas, perhaps you should do a little reading before you assume that Hyundais are unreliable ( http://www.iberkshires.com/shopping/story9956.html ). If you like the look of the Tiburon, you should've gotten one. Be different. And yes they are cheap too, as you mentioned. But only in price
. More than can be said of any Honda.
. More than can be said of any Honda. Have to agree...I4 Auto vs a 6-cyl stick. Even if he can't shift he has 170hp stock in the GT V6 or 134 in the I-4 config. Plus the GT V6 has a 6-speed manual and is pulling a little over 3000 lbs. While you are pulling 2550 lbs. around with ~115 hp...even with the intake, he has you.
I sure wish my car was newer

the vw's know how to work the diesel efficiently & still produce a ton of power with it.

Why do you guys diss Hyundais? Cause it's Korean? Give me a break. You know you sound like? The rednecks that I knew 10 years ago, who were dissing "Japanese Tincans." Only reason why most of you guys even like Honda in the first place is because all your friends do.
If you have driven a Hyundai recently, you would know that their fit and finish is second to none. You would also know that for the money, they offer EXCELLENT value.
And of course, if you did any research on the reliability records, you would know that it is ranked up there with Honda. Definitely above German rivals.
Don't even both comparing Tiburon V6 to a Civic. Tibby V6 is in the RSX-S class--the affordable sports coupe range. Civic is compared with Elantra.

So I guess anything that is roundish is girly? Because it musn't be the size... Tibby's not small at all. Quite heavy actually, at 3000+ pounds.
I personally like Miatas! They are a HOOT to drive... slickest shifter for an entry level car. SNICK SNICK! Even the 1st gen 1.6L Miatas are fun as hell... it feels pretty close to booting around in a Go-Kart! Take a corner hard and you oversteer...
I don't know what's so girly about it!
