i have a street encounter for you!

MY CAR IS TOO SLOW..... everyone always wins.... (pretty much) ! today i was driving on the highway and a car in front of me was going 60mph in the fast lane and a 4 door SUNFIRE was behind me. well when the old people in front of me moved over i down shifted and got to about 80.... the sunfire stayed on my *** then i put it down and the sunfire when around me he slowed down when we reached 110mph and just kinda got beside me and waved and kinda laughed......... i'm half way through my turbo project.........

GOD I CAN"T WAIT TILL IT'S DONE !

ehhhh when they were 110 and next to you ,, open up the window and throw something at them ,, that will make them stop chasing you ,, or buy a paintball gun and start shooting them ,,
by the way how did you get to 110 ,, was the wind pushing you ??,, heheh j/k ,,

What makes you think your civic can beat a sunfire?

Weight: 2606 lbs.
Horsepower: 140 hp
Torque: 150 ft-lbs
Max Horsepower: 5600 rpm Torque: 150 ft-lbs.
Max Torque: 4000 rpm

Do some research first? And 4 doors doesn't make it any slower. The weight factor would be negligable.

oh just the fact that my fience had a 99 sunfire coupe and i used to rip the **** out of it. i've driven a sunfire and the gas pedal is so wierd. i guess if it means that much to you man, that you went and did that research for me to make some point then good for you. i'll shut up now!

i have a dx
weight is like 2402
HP STOCK - 115 @ 6100
torque : 110 @ 4500

and by the way there is an equation to figure it out and from the line i should win
because there is a weight : HP ratio
i have that going for me from stock and i have mods unacounted for.

Just because is a Sunfire/Cavalier don't make them slow. (compared to other economy cars) Maybe he had a 2.4 Quad in it.

Those aren't 4 door Sunfarter numbers. Those are either GT numbers or the new Ecotec numbers (Which are all 2 door). 4 doors came with the same crappy 110 or 115 HP motor as Crapaliers.

hah

Dude, why would you be upset that you got beat by a Sunfire? Previous gen GT's had a 150HP Quad 4...doubtful you'd be able to take one of those...A 7th gen won't beat a new ECOTEC either...

They are no slouch....

Once again, edit button. but instead I deleted the double post for you.

Second, it's a 15 second civic. To many people that is slow. And the best of civic drivers should be able to hit even a 15.9 stock with a manual car. Hwoody did 15.8.

it's good that you're proud of your car, but I'd try not to be so damn arrogant about it.

It's a civic. I have taken a sunfire before but oh well. I just won't race neons because there are a lot of those big engine ones around here the 3.1L or something.

Thumbs down Sunburned

New 2003 Pontiac Sunfire!!!

I'm not sure, but I think it is an improvement over the this older model:

On a scale of 1-10, with 3 being the highest this car could possible receive, what do you rate the new model?
