i got owned
tonight coming home from work i pull up beside this eclipse its like a 98or99 style. it is compleatly riced out its got all these different color lights, a very loud and heavy system, rather large aluminum wing, and to top it off all the stickers to match. i pull up and rev my engine he doenst do anything the light turns and so i give it all its got he does to and then i here it, the turbo yes it was a turbo i was like damn a riced out car with a great powerplant i was completly owned i never saw it coming.

Rep Power: 413 hmmm...maybe decals really do give you that extra hp. I doubt our cars could be an eclipse even if it was stock.

Rep Power: 312 i didnt really rev i just down shifted all the way to first and we can beat an eclipse my friend has a 99 with exhaust and intake and i beat him one day

I know you guys are talking 98 and 99 Eclipses, but I was coming home from London Ontario with a fellow 7th gen civic (a member on this site) we were just passing each other as the lanes were empty on the highway, and he started to pass me, I shifted from 3rd to 4th and he was still pulling away ...... I finally caught up to him but if it was a race from a roll, i think it would have been close ...I'd love to race a 7th gen member just to see the difference ( i use to own a 2001 LX)

Rep Power: 0 Well, I go tthe Canadian version of the 03 GTS. (GT "Premium") - and it is faster than my 01 Civic LX...but only when I'm in 3rd gear - the first to gears lag a bit ......it would be a race, but I'm sure th GT would take it in the end

Rep Power: 374 The V6 eclipses are prett fast. A friend of mine has one and we run all the time. I pull on him off the line and throught first and second, but when he shifts in to third hes gone. But I think I do pretty good for my SI still being stock.

RS and GS Eclipses because this kid at my school just got a 98' Eclipse GS and he's already got this dumb looking aluminum spoiler and some other stuff. As far as perfomance just exhaust I think. I may have give him a cooking lesson with my Civic. Ahhh, it shall be grand!!!
