Rep Power: 0 BS....I think what the Echo driver didn't understand was that the S2000 wasn't racing him, rather it was accelerating at a moderate pace, and the Echo was going all out, and it barely managed to keep up... and what are they all saying about the S2000 being low in torque... yeah maybe to compared to at V8, but compared to an Echo... give me a break, like it even matters when there is such a huge difference in the HP... anyway the Echo is geared for economy. Rep Power: 0 hey theres the picture of my old echo....so you making fun of it? you talk about the echo being a piece of ****...look at what you drive...its a civic....i also dont agree with the s2000 post....but then again i dont have anything to prove by making up stories about pretending to race behind an s2000 in the mountains that probably was just normally driving....the echo is a great car...good gas mileage and its light...so even if you did want to fix it up...you make use of every possible hp you can get your hands on...i also doubt you guys bought a civic just to go fast in it...same for the echo....you can talk about how slow you think it is...when your civic isnt even faster...yeah 108 hp and 105lbs of torque...yeah not really big numbers...but also take into the consideration a 5 speed 00' echo can weigh as light as 2020lbs...it doesnt take much power to make the car fly...for instance...theres a guy running boost only 10psi and is almost into the 12's without using slicks(13.2 or 3)..i think i remember he said he ran with kumho 712's...with the hatches that are going to be in the canadian market..which are lighter by another 100 to 200lbs...also i know comments are gonna fly about the bodykit...but its just a picture...the kit was taken OFF afterwards...reason being why i have an echo kit for sale considering the back end of a logging truck owned me!...also if you read any posts you find out its not just some kit...i actually had to import myself...

A stock echo is lucky to break out of 17's. Don't quote hp numbers as if that's all there is to it.

I say there's no way a stock echo will beat an S2000 in any performance aspect whatsoever. I see no reason why any normal person wouldn't agree with that? I don't mean offense to you or your members, and do not mean to generalilze about those on your forum... but even YOU came in with a reality check over there. Thankfully.

I am editing my previous posts directed at you, because you are a moderator there and you made probably the ONLY logical post on that echo site. You have a level head about you, and as stated. we just laughed at the "unpainted" body kit, just cuz it's funny looking to see cars like that. It really doesn't look good, and in most people's opinions, you should wait til it's painted before putting it on and showing it off. Otherwise it looks tacky.

Rep Power: 0 yeah the unpainted ness is tacky...furthermore thats why it didnt stay on...the echo cant break out of 17's? the time i ran with my car on 17's was 10.6@66mph in the 8th...thats hecka lot better than "cant break out of the 17's"....im not here to say which car is faster....ive beat my fair share of civics just like youve apparently beat your fair share of echos...but like i said im not arguing you have beat an echo..we all know there are some drivers out there that dont represent their car to the fullest...so why even argue about that?..but like i said i also find it a little far fetched..but im not gonna say the guy didnt keep up..im just saying the guy in the s2000 probably 1. didnt have enough ***** to want to throw his 40k car around like that...2. wasnt racing at all...but obsurd comments about the echo being a piece of s**t...i take pride in what i drive or drove...and im sure you all do the same..."if" you are a true car enthusiast who truely loves cars...you should love ANY car for what it is...not hate on it for what it isnt...ive been a visitor here frequently over the past couple of months ive seen some pretty outrageous posts.......i have yet to call anyone out for an absolutely outrageous post...what do i care if they are a dumbass? why shall i go to a board and call another car a piece of s**t because of the post? when really the stupidity comes down to the original poster...we might not have the SAME cars, but we love the scene...take pride in what you share...especially interests

Rep Power: 0 yeah....but even to get a 17 on the time i ran i would have had to coast at the end...i live in redneckville so we only have 8ths which it seems like the east coast is NOTORIOUS for...dumb asses! one thing i like about it here is when you go you get to run unlike some of you west coasters! that stay all night and maybe get 3 runs...i can get 3 runs in like 15 minutes!...the only bad part...the strip isnt open YET! so ive been waiting patiently to run my new car there....well i take that back...NOT PATIENTLY!
