AT THE TRACK
First off I'd like to say that (MODERATERS) we need a new Category...AT THE TRACK where we wont mix up street racing with actual track times and 1/4 ETs.
NE WAYZ
(note: 1st time at track)
I ran @ the track in Orlando...Orlando Speed World...
I ran 17.6 @ 76mph and 17.4 @ mph 74 then i let my friend drive and he ran a 16.9 @ 80 mph.
The car is a 02' LX 2DR Civic BONE STOCK when I ran those times. IF I can drive a lil better I am sure high 16's stock.
Now I have the INJEN Cold Air and the power gain was significant.
I am going back to the track soon. I am hoping for a 16.8 with my driving and my friend is hoping to pull off a 16.4.
This week I might get a NX Nitrous Kit and run a 40 shot.... What do you think I can run with that. My friend thinks a 15.5 is the best he can run and I could pull maybe a 15.8. Anyone else have a Nitrous kit and has produced track times. G-Tech SLOW is Crap and I dont take it seriously sorry guys but i want real track times.

I dont recall the last time I saw a post saying "Yea man, I was racing this car on the street. The light turned green and I smoked him with a 14.95@98MPH!". So I fail to see the point of that first part.
And a CAI isnt going to net you "significant" power gains.
Id give you my nitrous track times, but I think they would be irrelevant for you.

You need a ENTIRELY SEPERATE SECTION for TRACK RACING POSTS ONLY.....
And Why wouldn't your NOS times NOT benefit me.
My friends car took off .6 with CAI and Taking off his muffler.
Then Nitrous took off another whole second.
Please share your times..it wont hurt me for you to tell.

Joe is saying obviously if there is a time posted, it's a track time, cuz on the street you don't "smoke" someone and run a time or trap speed.
As for your concern, the new site will probably be a "street and track encounters" section, since there isn't enough interest to warrant a forum for both seperately.

(Do u have an automatic or stick shift?)
I drove his car... Its a stick...
Pretty Quick, not bad, considering my friends Auto V6 STANG runs 17.2 with intake and exhuast...
Auto and Convertable makes him slower though.
But with the 1.7L displacement you guys make good torque I think I pulled a 2.44 60 in it, and I only drove it once and i spun so i could have ran a 16.6 maybe.
I wanna see him JUICE IT NOW

heres an idea, we should make a section for the newbies of the site, there we can go to post bullshet stories of how we raced some decked out ricer with neons in the interior lining the top of the roof and how you flew off some ramp and landed on two wheels, at least then we can make ourselves look cool and all become moderators

I've seen an 02 civic EX M/T hit a 14.2 @ 93 mph
at Sacramento Raceway with
a 75 shot of N20.
I'm hoping to be in the low 14's as well with a 50 shot though, since
I was quicker by .3 secs always when we both had the same mods before
N2O.

I was just at Orlando Speed World tonight (2-12). My best was a 16.69 @ 81.4. The only performance mod I have is a custom built CAI. It was my first time drag racing, definitely lots of fun I must say. Now I just need to find ways to make the car faster.

Yesterday was my first time trying out my NX Express system
with a 35 shot. Only three runs, and this was the best one.
R/T .561
I1 2.541
I2 6.733
I3 10.095
MPH (I3) 74.288
I4 12.949
E.T. 15.383
MPH 93.273

Wednesday and friday nights are the test and tune nights and I'm fairly sure just about anybody can bring any car on those nights. The two times I've been there have been friday nights and it was usually a mix of just about every type of car out there.
Now, I know I'm another noob, but getting back to the original post, I would be interested in seeing before/after 1/4 times with different mods--ie:
"kjgracing
Best 1/4 mile time is 15.721 with bolt-ons
Best 1/4 mile with 35 shot of N2O 15.355 @ 93.273
Best 1/4 mile with 50 shot of N20 14.846 @95.772"
It would be interesting to see before/after times with CAI, etc. I know times can depend on temperature and other things, but just an idea. If you think this is dumb, just ignore me.

From now on the light will go red, yellow, yellow, yellow, green. That big display outside the bank will show your time
