240sx vs 2k1 civic

What year body and what engine do you have in your 240sx? My buddy has a 90 hatch. His is stick. He has an Injen intake and Borla exhaust system, and i would give credit that his engine is in very good condition for 13 years old. Before i traded in my 01 civic he and i would race all the time for fun. Mine was an AUTOMATIC EX with injen CAI, and DC TCS exhaust and i would still kick his *** half the time depending on how well he launched, and yes he is very good at shifting. From a roll there was no way he would pass me, BUT we would run side by side most of the time, and usually it would be my civic that would pull ahead once we passed about 80mph.
Unless you have an SR20det engine in yours i really want to call BS on your story, especially if he WAS sprayin.

Rep Power: 0 Omega, you seem a little too shure of yourself. I happen to have the Video of PSR racing against James, and quite frankly the video speaks for itself. Before you call a story bs or doubt it you should review the facts yourself.

Rep Power: 401 Well it's an obvious win in the video. But I'm guessing from the way you pulled either you have a turbo? Though I think you said you don't have the turbo 240SX. So either the civic was auto, the guy couldn't drive to save his life, or he wasn't spraying.
A stock 240SX is about a 16 flat car with a better than average driver. That's manual tranny civic territory for sure. Which is why I think he probably wasn't spraying, and you get better gains from your IHE rather than his gains on IHE. It'd be nice if the guy you raced would post and clear it up, ya know?

Rep Power: 0 yea once he gets online i'll tell em to post it up and tell everyone that yes he was spraying. Cold night though, so thats the only thing that I can think of that could mess the nitrous up since he doenst have a bottle warmer.

Rep Power: 0 ok he won, i lost. i dont know what the f**k happened. i think one of the solenoids is clogged or somethng. i wasnt even gunning it on te second race so that doesnt count. but the first one was pretty much me all motor=slow as **** . our cars are thesame when im spraying so i dont know what was going on last night.

But yea, if its a 13 year old 240sx then either he has an engine swap or he has a single cam ka24e engine. I would say from the vid that 1) he has a 91 or higher with the dual cam ka24de engine to pull hard like that, especially from what like a 40-50 mph roll? Either way though, video is proof, im not gonna argue that, but it does look like your supposed lead at the end of the race on the video was due to him backing off, not your superior driving skills. In no way am i calling your race BS but i was tempted to say it was from what you provided at the time i posted.
I still dont see how a civic without nitrous cant handle a 13 year old stock 240sx with basic bolt ons. And one WITH? I say run again after your friend cleans his "solenoids" and post that vid.

There are however those of us who can admit when they have lost. The ones who cant admit it shouldnt be racing in the first place, whether on the track, strip or street. And those who are sore losers should be shot, the ones who just HAVE to try and prove themselves by cutting you off and slamming their brakes after the race is over jsut to try and recover some of the ***** they thought they had.
i had intake and an muffler (01/5sp EX and kept up, then gained on a 95 240sx with a exhaust. we started at like 55, then raced to bout 110 55-80 neck and next, then i staerted to pull lil by lil. it was bout 2am on the highway, not a car in sight. he was shocked to say the least when we got off at the same ramp and talked at the light.
so.... i dunno. but i held my own at least on the highway. never had a drag race with one tho

I wish it was turbo! Its a '89 240sx with 120,000 miles on it. Just a SOHC 2.4 with a header exhaust and intake, and nothing else. I cant even drive all that well to tell the truth, but oh well. If he wants to go again with the nitrous is "working" thats fine. We race a while back when it was warm outside and its a good race when hes on the bottle.

Rep Power: 303 In reguards to all that has been said, tha 240 is not turbo'd. James' civic is dead even (or somewhere close) on the bottle.
I have raced the 240 and he is ungodly fast!!! He gave me a 3 car headstart and still beat me by about 20 cars. All I know is that he has nothing but intake, headers, and exhaust and he is fast as shitttt!!

In a few posts I will be posting my civic with my new rims. (Motegi MR7's, Gunmetal with a 2.5 inch drop) I would appreciate it if you all would give comments on what you think it looks like..

I dunno when I am coming but maybe this summer, however I have seen your car in another video racing a integra LS. U got monkey whored hard by a LS. LS does have i/h/e but if you call them power adders thats prolly a personal problem. Any who when i come bring ur camera and we will make a video of me whoring ur car out by 20 car lengths.
