drift!!
i caught up with another car on a red but was a gurl...so i waited then on green a white '99 Si dropped on 2nd so i let mine off the line, catching up on 3rd at about 120 kmh (im from the philippines, so its not mph herE) i smoked him then on the stoplight turning left i pulled the handbrake and slowed it around 80kmh and drifted it to the left with the rear tires squealing, i gave it a 2nd gear then dropped it smoking the front tires with the wheel turned right. it was awesome and the my ferio RS handled very well and its still stock. the other car just slowed down while passing me coz i already cooled off after that...

Yeah, fun stuff. The only place I do it now is out of my driveway and into my driveway. Well, not drift. Tail slide. Pull up the e-brake and orient the car towards the driveway. The stupid snow banks are so high that it's easier for me to do it that way. Hehe... That's k3wl though dude. I did some nice drifts on this one on-ramp in the summer. Let the rear end kick out and control it through a good portion of the turn. It's hard as all hell to keep it going though. You need a good amount of speed to get it started, but not too much 'cause you'll end up biffin' it.
Now with only my front sway bar installed I'm afraid that the nose will dive to the outside of the turn when I lose traction. I could compensate by accelerating, but I'm already going like 50mph and 2nd gear is wailing like a **** throughout the turn. It's just hairy. I need wider lanes. Two lanes would be good. If I had on-ramps and off-ramps with two lanes near my house then I could practice drifting no problem. Although curbs kinda suck. That's why race tracks are really the only way to practice safely.
Well... Left hand turns too like you did. Hehe... I wouldn't do it on an intersection though 'cause of cops lurking around. There's never one on an on-ramp or off-ramp though. Well... Rethinking, rarely one. Plus you gotta be careful when exiting an on-ramp or off-ramp when you don't know what's ahead. If there are trees in the way, or something blocking your view of what's ahead then don't chance it. It's not a road coarse and there could be something in the way. Trust me, I know.
Anyway, just some tips...

I guess find an empty parking lot and paint some turn lines with some chalk. Then try to take the turn at the fastest speed possible. Then when you get used to the tires skreeching try actually letting the rear of the car slide out during the turn. Then after you get that down, you can try going into the turn and letting the whole car slide sideways before the apex of the turn. Apply some throttle and be aware of the steering to control the drift through as much of the turn as possible. Practice practice practice!!!

Okay, well...
First off I think you should practice tail slides by pulling up the e-brake and turning hard in one direction or another. Then you should know the limits of your traction by taking on-ramps and off-ramps as fast as possible until the tires just start to skreech. Okay, now you're ready...
First, let's try a tail slide at the exit to a corner. Find an on-ramp or off-ramp and at the exit accelerate harder than you normally would. Basically, surpass the speed at which your tires begin to skreech ontil your rear end starts to kick out on you. Position the car at the inside of the turn so that as you slide your car will reach the outside of the turn and find traction again as you exit the corner. You basically want to accelerate throughout this procedure and steer so that you come out of the corner going straight. Keeping it in low gear helps too since you'll be at a higher rpm and therefore in a higher power range.
Okay, now that you've done a tail slide you'll want to prolonge the tail slide throughout the entire turn (or as much of the turn as possible). People think that FWD cars can't drift without the e-brake. Wrong! We can't prolong the drift as easily as RWD cars since when the rear end slides out we can't keep it hanging out there by using the throttle. What we need to do is a little different. It takes *****, but it can be done. We go into the turn at a higher rate of speed and then we just turn so that the rear end slides out gently. Then we simply keep turning and apply the gas to keep the car moving forward. All the time the car's rear end is sliding out gently and the front tires are pointed just slightly in towards the turn (not as much as a RWD car's during a drift though). We also doing have the rear end hanging out as much as a RWD car does. This is because this is a high speed drift. The only way to execute a low speed drift in a FWD car is to use the hand brake and that's not really a drift IMO.
Anyway, don't get killed while doing this and don't harm anyone else. Make sure that the road is perfectly clear when attempting this. If you can't see what's ahead, then you're on the wrong road for this little experiment. Good luck!
