Rep Power: 0 i'm so screwed this time
alright, this is how bad things are today. as i'm driving south on sepulveda blvd, just about to go over the hill, not even 100 yards to the museum, this guy decides he's going to jump out from in the middle of the street infront of my car. i end up hitting the guy going about 25 mph and he looks pretty tore up. naturally i call 911 and all and they come and fix him up, and take him to UCLA and everything. then i get to talk to the cops, who show up a half hour after everyone leaves, and tell them just what happened. so now i have to call the insurance company to report an injury accident in my mom's car when my car isn't even fixed and that accident isn't even dealt with all the way. so when my parents see how bent the license plate is and how the side mirror is jacked up, and when they get a call from the LAPD about it, i'm going to be screwed there. and my license isn't going to be doing so well. my life is staring to suck really hard right now. just had to vent.

Who cares, Maybe I'm just too cynical but it's that guys tuff ish for running out in front of a car. So how exactly are you going to be screwed for some jaywalking dumbass' misjudgement? I hope everything gets taken care of because I remember from my wreck about 3 years ago that the insurance companies aren't exactly the smartest people in this world.

Rep Power: 0 True, jaywalking is illegal. But the truly sad thing is, poor idiots like that guy try and make a case out of this: pain and suffering, lost wages, medical bills, blah blah. I don't believe in that....that jerk needs to take responsibility for his walking out in the road (jaywalking) and pay the price, because he is not the victim, liquidblue is.

the guys old you say. IF and thats a IF he does try and make a claim against your insurance company ( its not a not a lawsuit unless they refuse to pay him what he wants then its a lawsuit. trust me i know these things ), hes old and old people usually would not get alot of money for the simple fact that they dont have their entire life ahead of them. now if he was 12 year old, now his parents would be able to pay him through college withoutta loan, and thats IF they made a claim. sorry liquid blue, i know it hectic, but weve all ben through it. hang in their, if you need more advice, PM whenever

These teenage girls jaywalked and she got hit at the 60km/h . She was killed instantly and the guy was never charged for anything because it was her fault for jaywalking.

Rep Power: 0 there's a lot of other crap happening right now too, but thanks for the advice and support. i still haven't told my parents about it, and my mom's car is sounding really bad now. her brakes were already bad, but now they sound horrible, like they're stuck pressing agains the rotor or something. the car always sounds like it's grinding some metal somewhere and it's really loud.
how do i explain this to my parents now?

Rep Power: 0 I hope that **** never happens to me. we had this one lady trying to bum hella money off our insurance company for a 5mph accident. 3 years later, she ended up only getting about 2 grand. the funny thing is, the insurance company initially offered her like 25 grand to keep it out of court. haha. she got screwed.
