Well finally, on the highway last night after 3 months from purchase, a car challenged me to a race. I put on my exhaust last week (mozart rear section), since then I noticed a few people giving me a couple small runs but nothing like last night. I have a 2002 5spd EX coupe in Nighthawk pearl, I like it. I wasn't thinking much of it but I passed a car doing about 75mph (just cruising on the highway). What I passed was a Focus ZX3. It was dropped, custom graphics, exhaust, tint, I definately heard the exhaust, and about 17" rims. As soon as I passed I hear a good downshift and he gets right on my ***. Without hesitation I go into 3rd. I run third to about 85, then jump to 4th. I push 4th to 110Mph. All I saw were his headlights getting smaller. I killed him lol. Anyway, I drop back down to about 75 and he did a flyby. Felt great. Can't wait until I install my FIPK next tuesday. Good luck guys! Feel free to give a focus (no SVT focus, lol they're pretty quick) a run.

Yeah you should lol, there's a DIY on a camera mount, give it a shot man, it would make some cool clips, so long as no one reports vids to cops, see ya

i dont think thats much, I have a lil over 5000 miles on it, already made an oil change, I redlined but didn't hit fuel cut, I was racing howver I maybe off by a couple miles per hour, i was focused much more heavily on the road than my tach

yeah i usually baby it but i know what it can take, it was a rare thing. i never go out looking for a race, gotta enjoy it once in a while though

not to ruin your win or anything...but i drove a zx3..and the speed limiter kicked in at 108MPH....You could school him on the freeway no problem...but good job showing up a FORD!

thanks, I raced from 75-110 though, I beat him and when i kept pulling at 110 i slowed down, the limiter would effect his acceleration to 108 though, thanks anyway

Nice run. I love to hear about a civic comeing out strong. I envy your car though. I have a 2002 Auto EX Sedan in Nighthawk pearl and really want the one you described above. I kick myself everytime I see a car like yours because I had the opportunity to get one in Satin Silver and didn't. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/IMG]
