Smoked a CRX...

It was a red '87 CRX, and well, I was hoping it had at least a B16 swap into it...but it was bone stock. Nothing but a 1.5 non-VTEC engine. From the takeoff, he was spinning waaaay too much and i left him behind.

I know, this was pointless.

I'll be sure to do that next time! I actually kinda like those CRX's...they'd be great to fix up.

We actually bought 2 of them to fix up, one is an 87 Si and the other is an 85 DX, the DX was susposed to be a winter beater but the frame is gone on it so its only for parts, but we are rebuilding the 87 Si right now. Its in the shop right now, we work on it in the evenings, we are going to rebuild it, and do some custom body work on it, its a fun little winter project, but in the end its for the wife, she likes them and always wanted one. I will post pics when we get something to show, right now its totally stripped down.

LOL you would never smoke a b16 CRX, i have driven one many times, it would rip the doors of your civic. Don't race one unless you want your *** handed to you.

Hey, you never know cuz I mean, there are some bad drivers out there. I could get a good start and he could misshift and then I'd actually beat him. But that's assuming he can't drive. Of course, if he knew how to drive, then yeah, "i'd have my *** handed to me".

And yeah, well this car looked pretty clean from the outside.. How much do you think it would cost to fix one up? I know someone who might be selling his....

The CRX I spoke of is my bros and he paid $2900 for the car with a b16 in it, the car was in a bad shape cuz the seller had a one peace carbon fiber front end that was stolen and the whole front of the car was put together with parts from junk yards. That’s a good price, there will be people with the same setup wanting $4000 but if the body is no good than you are over paying. Also his is an HF model which is the lowest one, SI will be the most expensive but also heavy and you dont want that. My bros CRX runs 14.6 at 97mph with a header exhaust a cone filter on the throttle body and JDM GSR cams which he got from me. watch out for HYBRIDS people that drive them are not beginners.

sKwiD is on a distinguished road
I raced my friend and his '89 CRX SI twice. The first time was unexpected as he came from behind me. I was in 3rd and had to shift back into second, while he was already in second. He Won.
The second time I was in first on a rolling start, and he "claims" he was in 2nd the whole time, but we were side by side before I started pulling on him... They're fast though, I got to drive it once. But no power steering... That SUX!!

You need to make sure you have the right engine though.
