Did u say 01 Si?? as in the 6gen civic coupe body with 160 HP?? You lost me on that one. Im not familiar with the new Civic body styles and the according years. I havent run my 02 Civic EX yet (need to break her in), but my old
1986 Acura Integra RS (DOHC 1.6L 113HP / 98 Trq) ran a best of 16.1 with a Pilot DTM muffler, 75% blown head gasket, removed seats, advanced timing all the way, cracked spark plug wires, THE WORKS!! hehe. But yeah. If you have an 6th Gen Si, it should be runnin a 15.8 . The 02 Si with the 2.0L 160 HP / 137 Trq should be alot quicker.

What black2k1vtec is talking about is the Canadian Civic SI, which is equivalent to the USDM Civic EX. I hear the 02 SI hatch is a bit of a porker, though, and I doubt it can beat the 6th gen SI stock-for-stock.

01 Civic EX manual, intake, exhaust, high flow cat, 1/4 tank of gas- 15.7 on a good day (did this twice). Usually around 15.9 though.
<< oh, i see, im too new to this stuff. im gettin there though. isnt there a guy with a silver ex 5 spd that said he ran a 15.8? all stock. >>
The last I heard of that, no one believed him, they wanted to see the slips.
Don't be fooled by "...I went 145mph downhill with the wind in Arkansas...",
another story requiring photos to believe.

I ran a 16.5@81.97 mph today at Rockingham Drag Strip in NC. All I have in a Injen CAI.I thought that I did pretty good. Made it to the final round in the 16.50 class and lost by .08 to a sorry *** 300 ZX, non- tubro! But it was fun as hell!
Hwoody is the one who ran a 15.8 . Don't be hating, he got an excellent 60' time which led to that 1/4 time. He was bonestock (ex 5-speed), removed his spare tire, and deflated his tires to ~20 psi. Plus he said he weighs i think around 130 and he did show his slip and a video.
I got a 16.35 @ 83.58mph (60' time of 2.395s) this past thur. night with only an injen cai and the removal of the spare. I didn't lower my tire pressure and I had a big *** wing on the rear that couldn't have helped any...
edit: i have a 4dr ex 5-speed

I think he needs to get his engine tuned up, sounds like he should be running a bit faster, or he has a manual and just can't drive.

>>actually, that sounds right. if he tune the apexi correctly, maybe it'll be lower. I duno why he has a body kit when he gutted his interior.. and I'm sure it can be lower if he drives better. *shrug*

NO way in hell...post a time slip, and or video of that..NO WAY does an LX run a 15.99 @ 90.3mph. I ran a crappy 15.300@90.51 with a 2.4 sec 60 foot time.......
Hey Matador, what's your 1/8th mile time, 15.6 is good..I'm guessing that you have a decent amount of weight reduction based on your trap speed being somewhat low..I'd bet your 1/8 mile is pretty decent, as most of the cars with weight reduction have good ET's, good 60 foots, and good 1/8th mile times, but not so great traps....pehaps its the tires...low tire pressure?
