I have a 2005 Civic DX coupe with a few minor cosmetic modifications. I think street racing is stupid, not to mention the fact that my car couldn't outrun anything past a Dodge Neon, so I'm happy cruising around with the stereo to entertain me. But I was stopped at a light on a wide open road with no traffic waiting for the light to turn green. I had the window down, not paying attention, and I hear this horn honk. I quickly look up thinking the light has turned green but it's still red. I look around and this guy next to me in a black Civic coupe has a car full of people and is pointing forward. At first I'm confused but then I realize he wants to race so I shake my head. Another few seconds go by and he starts revving his engine and rolls down his window shouting at me to race with him. This guy won't leave me alone so I start laughing and yell at him, "It's a DX man!" I don't get it, what joy does it bring people to stomp on a 115 horsepower car? I'd be embarassed to lose that race and slightly less embarassed to tell people I won.
