i just saw the original first S2k with ITBs at our wake the dragon meet. the guy who owns it is a younger guy, and him and his dad have a pro-shop and are s2ki.com sponsors.
the car is fast (low low 13's maybe), however, there's quite a few tradeoffs. gas mileage is crap (compared to turbo or SC), and you have to run a static fuel/air mapping. which means that if the temp and humidity is different than on the day you tuned it, you're going to be running richer or leaner (usually richer). and in a case like WTD, the guy was in high altitude, so because of that, he was literally having unburnt fuel dripping out of his tail pipes from running so rich. lol

i never really thought if the whole static tune on ITB's before but it makes perfect sense. couldnt you get a set of TB's from a direct port injected bike and wire the tps and such that way and still be able to tune through the ecu. or do all ITB conversions have to be tuned with a static tune. i would think that it would only be that way on a throttle body injected fuel set up a direct port shouldnt if im not mistaken, correct?
