my 04civic vs anotehr 04 civic
alright guys...i need some honest answers here. i have an auto civic EX with aem short ram intake, megan racing header, and a full exhaust system. the other guy has a 5 speed civic EX with a cold air and a muffler tip with 18 inch wheels. who would win?

I would say the manual one, unless he is just Bad at launching. I know people that dont launch, they just start like regular and floor it, If he does that you may have a shot, but If he launches good I would say he'll probrably win. Just give it a shot, I'm just guessing. Do either of you have a sub box or anything, any added weight?
what kind of wheels do you have? ...
if his rims are extremely heavy and you have a bit of weight reduction, then I'd say it would be somewhat equal. other than that ... he'd probably win.
4 speed auto < 5 speed manual. Not only do you have an extra 10 whp of drivetrain loss, but his gears are also much shorter than yours.

Rep Power: 0 i just got the stock 04 wheels on. and my spare tire is out. thats about the only weight reduction i got. his wheels look somewhat like the ADR sokudo 8s but its not made by ADR. its made by some other company.

i would go with the manual for the winner if you have stock wheels and such, i raced a manual once and lost but that was before i had any mods to it, but i still think i wouldve lost even if i had mods but there right he needs to know how to launch, if he launches bad you might have a chance

Rep Power: 475 i didnt lose bad at all, it wasnt from a stop either. I had two friends in the car also and he was alone and i think we got up to 80 from around 40 and he maybe had like half a car if that. I raced my friends taurus the other day and beat him but his tranny is kinda messed up and its old, i also have intake headers exhaust now. If his engine has everything stock i think it would be a good race, you might have a chance.

Rep Power: 0 oh...well in that case i bet i could beat him. you had 2 people in your car...the other guy was by himself. your ride was all stock. hmm....not bad not bad. i have intake, header, full exhaust and this guy just has a cold air intake....with 18 inch wheels. i dont know...ill see how it turns out.

Rep Power: 475 yea its pretty pathetic, i dont like racing cause i dont have a turbo or engine swap and i know i cant beat half the cars on the road, maybe more, i dont like it at all

Rep Power: 812 half the cars on the road? haha the only cars you can beat are scions (lower models) and geo metro). almost everything else made today has at least 10hp more than the civic. and if you have an auto forget it. that 90whp isn't gonna do much.

yeah. my old setup with my d17a2 was cai, kamikaze header, stock midpipe/cat and custom 2.25" full catback exhaust ...
