I have a few encounters from the past week I thought I should post.

Monday, I am on my way to work and have a grand am take off on me at a light. I accelerate normal, as I'm not going to race through intersections in the middle of germantown. He, however, seems to think that I WAS racing, and that he beat me. The hazards flashing kinda gave that part away. two words. TOOL SHED

so i get next to him as the speed limit turns to a 45. I toss it into 2nd and start to go a bit. i hear his auto downshift, and i lead him into it a bit. he has it floored now, and I just slam the gas, and leave him WAYYYY far back. and then throw on the hazards.

however, this isn't enough. we get on the freeway and i leave him way behind on the on ramp. however, as i am now on the freeway I see he is coming up fast behind me. he's about to do a ricer flyby, so I dump it to 4th at about 70. he flies by me, but only gets about 2 cars on me before i start to pull. lol. even with his running head start. we keep going, i go by him and that's the end of that.

tuesday night, i pull up next to a silver mercedes. i have no idea what it is. i THINK it was a 2 door, but it could have been a sedan. either way, we do a rolling start, and he actually pulls on me slightly in first gear. he's got maybe 3 feet on me, and i pull back on him in 2nd. by end of 2nd i have about 3 feet on him. into 3rd and i keep slowly walking away. by 80 i have maybe 1-2 cars on him.

i dont know what kind of car this was, but he'd certainly beat a stock S2000.

lastly, on thursday i'm on my way home, in 6th gear doing about 70. i'm in the middle lane, with a red neon with a girl driving in the right lane. a car is coming up on the middle, so i speed up to 80 and pass it on the left. as i move back to the middle, the neon zips up next to me.

i slow down a bit and she follows suit. we get to a flat straight and once again i have to move around a car in the middle. i speed up slowly, go around and am still speeding up. that's when i realize, the girl in the neon is trying to race me. she gets ahead of me a bit and i speed up. we are going about 80 again, and she speeds up. i speed up and i hear her car downshift. i floor it, in 6th, and pull on her pretty easily. she's trying to hang with me, but my car just wasn't having it. lol. she was cute and gave me a little wave when she went by, but i felt bad for her. i can only imagine she may have some ricer boyfriend who would tell her she should have beaten me.

I love how people think that their car will grow ***** and get just that much faster and then try agian after a spanking.

There are alot a mercedes that are quick the new CLK55 is an auto that runs mid 13s so that sounds like a probable car. As you know there are a few others that are quick cars.
