Fried the ol clutch LOL
Guess that's what I get for talking ****
It was a shitty night all around. A lot of cars broke tonight, some before we even got to the track. I wasn't even gonna run cause I was just getting a bad vibe, but I gave in. I decided to just try a run spraying in second. So I hit it in second go to shift into third and blew the clutch(wasn't sure at the time) kept on it and busted out a 14.692@95.43 with a 2.179 60ft. Popped the hood in the pits and nothing but the smell of straight clutch burning.
So I paid $20 for one run, ****ed up my clutch and didn't run 13's.
Luckily I decided not to spray in first or I may have damaged it worse. The car is drivebale, but when I give it gas it just revs and barley picks up. So no more racing til I get it replaced. I am pretty happy with the time. Spraying in 1st with a good clutch would have put me pretty close to my goal. Oh well back to the drawing board.

you really didn't blow your clutch. you glazed it. after a couple hundred miles of normal driving, it may work again.
either way, you shouldn't be running nitrous on the stock clutch, particularly if you do slip launches. the stock clutch simply cannot hold up to that.

I need something that will hold up to repeated hard launches and one that can handle 200plus ft/lbs.
Oh gee... that’s too bad. You, yet again, couldn’t prove that your car is any faster then I said it would be.
LMAO!
Ricer excuse # 10003: "My clutch was slipping!"
You ran this clutch for over 10K miles of hard driving and it just happened to start slipping the night you go to the track in order to get times proving how fast your car is. What a ko-ink-e-dink, eh?
Heh, I knew there was going to be some BS as to why he ran exactly what I said he would run.
...first that lame UFO errr... "race" video, and now this. Awesome.

I suspected it after I ran Shifty, but having never experienced a slipping clutch before I wasn't sure and thought maybe it was in my head or the heat was to blame because it just wasn't picking up that great. Fri night it just let go completely mid run. Cause afterwords it was clearly a clutch problem. The smell was horrible. Punch the gas and it just revs but barley moves. I am pretty happy with the time considering I got a shitty 60ft, started spray in second, blew the clutch out soon there after and still trapped 95.5mph. Looking at DJmotas times and mph with my 60ft and clutch that could actually hold I would probally have been pretty close to his times. But as they say almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenedes lol. Oh well I'll be back soon.

Look at DJMotas times compared to mine

He was spraying a 65 shot in 1st gear, and I trapped 1mph less than him spraying in second with a slipping clutch.

well the other thread got closed before i could reply, so i'll just do it here...
i personaly installed the nitrous kit on redlines car just a few weeks ago, long after he ran a 15.1...end of story on that bs.
and someone said if the camera was newer than five years old, you could use nightshot...well it was my camera, and its a brand new sony dvd-403, and yes it has nightshot, but night shot will only go as far as the infered light will go. and when your filming in a slow *** 15sec ford truck(but still faster than most hondas) though a windsheild nightshot is useless.
but i'm sure you will doubt evrything i say too, but i dont care...i know the truth, and redline knows the truth. and thats all that counts.
oh by the way: sence this is my first post; hello

We don't know you from a hole in the wall, so your post will not remove all skepticism. It helps a little, but it doesn't remove all doubt.
And you kinda throw in this comment about your "15sec slow *** ford truck, but still faster than most hondas". Not sure what that means, or what you're trying to get at. But you may want to reconsider your statement, since many hondas are capable of 15 flat or faster stock. Keep that in mind the next time you get worked by a stock auto V6 Accord family car because you consider your truck 'faster' than most hondas.
More hondas "faster" than your truck in stock form:
Honda V6 Accord
Honda S2000
Honda Accord Hybrid (you're slower than a hybrid. you're right. your truck is a slow *** truck)
Previous gen Civic Si (probably)
Honda Prelude (probably)
That means you're faster than the pilot, CRV, element, civic, and insight. Congratulations.
Oh and let's not forget that you're slower than much of the Acura lineup too:
Acura NSX
Acura CL-S
Acura TL-S
Acura RSX-S
Acura Integra GSR and Type R

Not to be an ***, but I don't think he is concerned with how fast his truck really is or how it compares to Honda vehicles. It's what is behind it on the trailer that matters. 1000hp cutless or 11sec mustang which one will it be?

Redline why are you bringing all your noob friends into this site? Just get your dam clutch reinstalled and ****ing do the 13 or not the only way people are going to stop flaming is if you just go out and do it and prove it your friends aren't going to help especially ones that think a stock truck is fast

that was pretty much my point. your friend came on here to defend you, and in the same post, undermined any effort he'd made by making such an ignorant statement.
