Post Your 1/4 Mile First Time *Some Info Here Read This*

Have you always wonder what kinda times you could get with your car? Have you thought about going to your local track to find out, but you just didn't know what to do? Well this is for you. After reading if you have any question either post them here or pm me.

Lets start off with finding you local racetrack. This can be found here Track! After you found your local track. See if they have a website you can go on to find out which nights of the week are IE time only or Test N Tune. Or you can call 411 get the number and call the track directly go get the info you be needing.

Now when you get to the track most places make you buy a tech card at the gate. Just ask them at the gate for this info. Buying the techcard is also your admission. IE Raceway park cost $26 bucks for a tech card that get you about 3-4 runs if you get there at the begining. Now before you can go down the track you will have to fill out the card and go to tech inspection. If they have asked you something tell them the truth, unless you want to get going home after your first run. After tech inspection if you don't have a helmet your gunna need one. Most track let you rent a helmet for 5 buck or trade your drivers lincence for a while. If you dont have a helmet on your head your not going down the track. Now that you have your helmet it time to get into the staging lanes. Remember what ever lane you get into that your lane for the night. If you try to change lanes you can lose your tech card and be done racing for the night.

Now it time they are taking your lane. Time to get ready put that helmet on, seat belt on, windows and sunroof closed. Even if it a hot day shut your AC OFF. Water on the track from your AC unit mean downtime. Now most places have three check points after you leave the staging lanes. Ready Line, Burn out box(bleach/water box), and Start Line(Christmas Tree). PAY ATTENTION TO THESE PEOPLE AT ALL TIMES. Now that your at the ready line wait for the man to signal you to move ahead. When coming to the water box if you have street tires stay out of the water. Water is for car with slick tires. Since the trends on the tires can hold water in the middle draging this up to the start line will mean more donwtime. So go around the water unless you know how to dow a burn out. Also a little hint doing a burn out in water mean your tires are still gunna be wet once you leave the water box. Also wait for the track offical to signal you when it time to start your burn out. After your burn out head up to the start line. You will see a pole in the middle of the track with lights on it. This is called the christmas tree. With your front tires you need to light up the town two lights on your side of the tree. Pre-stage and staged. Pre staged means your almost ready. Staged means "LETS GO". The tree will drop 3 yellows then a green. Go around the last yellow to your on your reaction time. Once your ready and the tree has dropped go down the track as fast as you can. Once you pass the finsh line slow down. Do not keep on speeding unless you wanna crash at the end of the road. Also on the bottom of the Tree if the red light start to flash back off the starting line means something wrong. As you go to exit the track go down to the time card booth and pick up your time slip. After picking up you time slip. Go back into your lane and do it all over again.

For future refences can we get this sticked for now! Please! If you have any question post them here or pm me. Thank you and have a nice day.
