rude driver in a 350Z
I was on my way home today, top down, and cruising along the freeway. I'm in the left lane with the flow of traffic, and getting ready to move over as my exit is nearing. In my rear view I see a 350Z "dipping" through traffic coming up fast. I moved into the middle lane, and he disappeared from my rear view as that's where he was, but a few cars back. I start to move over into the right lane, and as I'm almost completely in the lane, the 350Z flies up behind me and honks his horn as if I had cut him off. (keep in mind I was already going 80 in a 65)
My exit comes up, and this guy takes the same exit. I can see he's got a deck spoiler of some kind, and a bunch of decals on the side of his 350Z. Stopped at the off ramp light waiting for a left turn, this guy is still behind me. He's close enough that I think he could read my speedometer almost better than I could. My guess is he enjoys getting as close as he can get behind other men.
The light turns, and I already know what's coming, as the next light is ALWAYS red since the oncoming off ramp is in sync with this one. It's also 2 lanes at this point. As expected he zips over to the right lane, and lines up with me. I haven't even come to a complete stop yet and this guy is already revving his engine, bouncing the car off the limiter.
I look over and the guy gives me this "come get some yo" look. That looks is only enhanced by his backward hat and "leanback" driving style. If the 350Z had a back seat, he'd be sitting in it. The cross light turns yellow.....
It's a hot day. I rev up. 4000, 5000.... 6000rpm. Just above 6000rpm and hold. The light turns, and I unspring the clutch from it's position. The car lunges forward as the tires unleash, and I nail a fantastic launch. Redline to 1st gear and I've already got this huge **** *** grin on my face as the 350Z is already 2 cars behind me. Into 2nd, and I continue to pull. This goes on until I shut down at 80mph approaching another red light. I have about 5 cars on him (hard to judge in your rear view, hehe).
I slow down and stop at the light, and the guy is trying to act like nothing happened. His final comment to me is "oh were you racing?". The first words out of my mouth were "no, why.... were you losing?".

"were you racing?" ive heard that one before. its so pathetic. the last guy that said something around in that area was driving a 7th gen to say the least. after i beat him from a stoplight we pulled up to the next one and he has the arrogance to say "did you just race me? we'll race for real if you want" and i was like "i just did" and took off lol

a stock 350Z is not going to get any better than staying within 3-4 cars of my S2000.
