the second 2006(?) ford gt was sold here in my area for around $180k the original price was about $95k-$100k

The newer one's are based on the same motor used Back then... Ford was ahead of its time with that car... Very nice... -_-d

Retail is more like $150k. Most of them still go for ~$200k+. If someone sold the second one on the market for only $180k, they got taken.

BTW, back on topic. Amazing car w/ tons of history. The GT40 was built to take the title from the dominant Ferrari's at LeMans and they TOTALLY demolished everyone and went 1st/2nd/3rd, IIRC.

wow, thats a nice car. the other day i saw a new ford gt, it was behind me, they look crazy. remember when the motor itself was on ebay, with a buy it now of 30k. thats crazy, and it was supposedly below dealer cost for the engine.

Thank you stang5.0 for creamin my pants for me, haven't seen action in a couple of days. Now I'm good for a few weeks. Love the G.T. 40, beautiful car indeed. Why would anyone want to sell one though? Expecially the original.
