flat 15s at the track today
went to the track for my first time and my best time was 15 flat, other times were no more than 15.5
times seem a little high, but someone told me that you minus 1 from your time because of the high elevation, I think it was more like times by .98
this was at 5 psi, I took an s4 by .20 seconds and a sti, 5.0 gt, and alot more. Hatches and evos took me all the time. The sti driver told me he bogged first gear and I took him 2nd and third while he was finally gaining on 4th but it was too la te by then.
this was in palmdale.
can anyone tell me what I was exactly running? The elevation there was 2000-3000 ft
this was with:
5psi with sf kit, sf fmu, ground wire, aem pullies, stock clutch, street tires, megan resonator and greddy exhaust. Will go back with 9 psi, act racing clutch, act flywheel, alchy injection, unortho crank pulley, slicks and hopefully ems with a good tune.

You ran 15 seconds flat thats it the elevation doesnt matter because its not like when your in the street over there your gonna be like here let me calculate the elevation so that my car can go faster. Yeah it effects the car but unless your coming to lower elevation dont worry about it. Besides at 5 psi untuned its kinda hard to get faster than 15 seconds your car just keeps amazing me beating mustang gts and v8s at 5 psi
STI's would walk all over you..
They are Mid 13's with an average driver, and low 13's with a good driver. Even if he bogged the launch, 2nd and 3rd pull extremely hard and could easily overtake a 15.5 second car..

I totally agree with Nofriends on this one. A 15 second slip doesn't beat half the cars on the road no offfense. I run 14.3 and an sti pulls on me like a ****. My friends stock 03 GT stang ran 13.9 last week. How are you beating these cars?

actually, I aint from there, Im from los angeles where its alot closer to sea level so

btw I rolled with a type-s and a civic homemade turbo at 12+ psi
the type s modded was i/e/hondata/ and some other stuff
the type-s was running 15.2 with slicks as his best time of the night, while the homemade turbo civ ran 14.4 with slicks as his best time.

well close to sea level you should be running faster times but your not like i said 5 psi untuned your not gonna run faster than that. Your sti story is unbelievable because they run 13's not even at 10 psi tuned is your story believable

altitude will affect 1/4 mile time. as stated. the higher up you are, the less dense the air is, to you're making less power.
what track did you run at? they often offer you the corrected times factoring in elevation. do you have the timeslip? it often says it on there too.
even so, a 15 flat is a far cry from some of these cars you are "beating". please don't be another black99vtec. one of him is enough.

btw, the sti I ran, he ran 15.6 ish, Im not saying his car is not fast, but maybe he was a weak driver because I talked to him afterwards and he told me it was his first time at the tracks as well as my first time.

you run what you have. you dont spout off a bunch of crap you plan to do.
and I'm sorry, if you beat those cars, then you ran some of the S H I T T I E S T drivers E V A R.
if you won, so be it. that does NOT mean your car was faster.
