a few days ago I was at taco bell gettin some late night food. I pulled out of the drive through, and went to park a minute to check my order since they have dumb asses who work there.

When I pulled around, I saw 3 SRT4's sitting in the lot. Yay, my favorite ricer car to trash.

I pulled off to the side, and the guys were thuggin it outside their cars. the one guy had purple and green neons under his yellow SRT4. Maybe he's trying to make up for the fact that the makers of fast and furious said there was no way in hell they'd ever put a neon in their movies.

I'm sitting there, and much like fireflies to the flame they walk over.

"yo whats up S2000"
(I think that's caveman speak for "hi")
Me: hey what's up.
Him: wanna race my boy?
Me: why would I want to race a neon?
Him: because an srt4 can own any S2000 on the road
Me: lol, and i suppose the earth is flat too?
Him: what? (pause) so want to race?
Me: tell you what. i'm gonna leave here to go home and eat my taco bell, so if you want to race, tell your "boy" we can catch this light out here.
Him: yeah he's got 19psi and he can beat corvettes.
Me: (half to myself) i bet that's not all he beats.
Him: huh? yeah ok i'll tell him.



So I turn out, and they follow me out of the lot like lost puppies. I waited for the light to turn to pull out, and lined up. We're waiting for the light and this guy is sitting there revving. good. draw attention to yourself in case there are any cops around.

Light turns and I launch. I get maybe a half car on him from the launch (certainly not my best launch). I hear him spin his tires a bit excessively, and then he shifts to 2nd (jesus their exhausts are seriously the crappiest sounding exhaust I've ever heard). We go and I'm just pulling. He didn't stand a damn chance. I shut down at 100, and I have probably 5 cars on him. Another clueless neon srt4 owner gets schooled. I'm sure he'll tell his friends I was turbo'ed.

Wow nice kill man ..Id love to be able to win races like that

If you are trying to compliment him on his kill, it wasn't a very good one.

From a dig, and with cars with relatively equal power / weight, a rwd w/good driver > fwd w/good driver. RWD ownez FWD. Of course AWD ownez ALL.

In this case, there is no way the SRT4 would have beat his S2K, unless the S2000MAN really messed up his launch. From a roll, I would expect the S2K to pull even harder on the SRT4. S2k is a beast from mid-high RPMs.

sounds like the SRT was just a base SRT-4. Stage 2-3 would have beaten the S2000. I have witnessed it on a track. I see those keep up fairly well with EVO/STi's also. From a launch they are garbage but a roll they are quick....the stage2-3 that is. Good run none the less....I personally don't waste gas on cars like that......maybe a Porsche.

Sure, but a few modz to the S2K would beat a Stage 2-3 SRT4. I have seen some boosted S2Ks beat da shynit outa SRT4s, EVOs, WRXs, Z06s, etc.

What mods are there for the SK2. What gives it good gains?

I heard it doesn't respond all that well to bolt-ons. Something about Honda tuning it to its max potential.

No it wasn't a base. If it was a base, I'd have pulled much harder. A stage 2 is probably slower than me as well still. No idea on the stage 3.

and a stock S2k can slightly pull on a stock srt4 and a stock EVO from a roll.

Bolt ons don't do well for the S2k UNLESS you swap out for an aftermarket or standalone ECU. Once you do that, the engine has a TON of potential to unleash.

A couple S2000's have gotten 300whp n/a with cams, bolt ons, ecu, tuning, etc. Build the entire engine, block and all, and you could probably get to 400hp n/a.

I think you have a secret obsession with SRT4's s200man. Everytime you post its about those dam Neons!

What makes an S2000 fast, hum. Maybe the many turbo and supercharger kits, duh.

actually a supercharger on a stock s2k won't make it that much faster mabye knock off .5 sec in the quarter

supercharger will knock off about .8 seconds running 5.5psi.

.5 seconds is with a horrible driver.

Does Hondata have anything for the S2K? If so that would rock! K-Pro for an S2K!
