Ralliart vs. Honda's... (VIDEO)
Last night, I went to the ontario street runs (so cal), and had my friend record my races.
The quality isn't that great, because I lost my USB cables to my sony handycam. So now I have to record the footage off my tv using my digital camera movie mode
. For best viewing quality, all you WMP people, please play it @ 100%, for all others media players, play it at 320x240.
Anyways, please don't flame me, or give me bad rep. I have nothing against honda's, never had, and never will. I am now a firm believer that anything can happen in the streets, and a fast car can be put in the hands of a bad driver.

WOW no one that u raced knew how to drive there cars. That ex had one good run... he woulda beat both the si(which wasnt really racing) and the rsx(which really sucked at driving)... i love people that get a car and mod it and think there fast...
stock car w/ good driver > modded out the *** w/ bad driver... every time

Yea plus the new and old si both have around 140whp stock. Nice vid. Civics got pwned, but wow I think the acura decided not to race at the last minute
Hey bro... I think I raced you last night in Ontario. Do you remember racing a 2001 Black Honda civic? With Evolution Motorsports sticker on back window? Well I missed shifted 3rd. Maybe I'll see you next Friday or Saturday down there./

damn govt computers, site is blocked. I haven't run any ralliarts yet, but I think SCC dynoed one around 150-155whp. Dude at work has one and talks **** about my civic but never comes out to race. Good kills.
There are a lot of bad drivers on the road. I've beaten a couple SI's and hung with GSR's and even TypeR's and Type S's running low 15's at the track because they can't drive.

. Maaan, i know your gonna beat me, so im not worried about loosing... im just down to learn (techniques) and meet cool people. Everybody, the rsx-s missed 3rd, Im pretty sure he might have came back thou. The civic sI race is longer than what it is, I only pulled 2-2.5cars than I shut down, you can hear me downshift when the race is over... my friend just kept recording. We actually raced 2wice... the first time he missed 3rd

When everyone is saying the "missed 3rd" WTF do they mean? They grinded it while shifting to that gear? I mean i know its one of the hard gears to switch to when racing....but??

or letting out the clutch before you fully engage the gear. I've seen people do that quite often.
just found out my VVTI is only functioning at 60% and has been for sometime apparently. so no racing for me until that's fixed. it's starting to suffer from real bad oil starvation now so I can't hit lift. if I do this head's life will be short lived lol hopefully I can figure out the cause today. we suspect a dirty oil filter
(there's 2 vvti oil filters in the gt-s)

VVTiL - Variable Valve Timing (and Lift)
VTEC - Variable (valve) Timing and Electronic (lift) Control.
VTEC = VVTiL ... in so many words, although the resulting powerbands are a little different. VTEC wants to have a flat torque curve, VVTiL wants a high peak.
Valve timing - WHEN the valves open
Lift - DURATION the valves stay open.
If he's not hitting "lift", then his car is running as if his "VTEC" wasn't working.

woah! Civic ex coupes accelerate quick. I didn't know they could hang with much more powerful cars. keep in mind the stock civic wheels are quite a bit heavier than the raliart wheels. I'm back to my stock wheels I miss my winter 14s
The Type S part is hog wash, the Type S would be 40 car lengths ahead if he tried.

it's actually VVTL-I but whatever lol it's similar to the I-VTEC. standard VTEC would be like the celica GT which only has VVTI.
it kicks on at 6,200 rpms and fuel cut is 8,350 rpm 00-01, 03-05
2002 celica's have a crappy early rev limiter.on at 6,200 and fuel cut is 7,800rpms.
on the celica only the intake cam is variable over 43 degrees. the variable cam sprocket is controlled by oil pressure. So when it doesnt get enough oil (whats happening to mine right now) it can't reach it's full range of motion causing a lack of power. that's a longer explanation lol
since I havent been dynoing it often or racing it I didnt notice the power loss and so the problem kept gettin worse. so far nobody seems to have ever had this problem before lol
