cocky 330i beemer gets owned last night

cocky 330i beemer gets owned last night
was driving to capitol records last night with my 200 lb friend in the car and my 100lb gf in the car. They not fat just big and while on the freeway cruising about 80-ish this beamer runs behind me from no where. All bright hids and topdown. The liscense plate still had the dealer plates. His car wasnt even broken into yet. The guy races me for the whole drive. I tell my friend to film it in the rear seat and u cant really see anything cuz my rears aare tinted. But you can tell by the hids. This guy was newb, he races me from 3rd gear roll on from 80 to 120 ish. He got head start on me but when i downshifted to 4th and squeezed I always passed him til we got to 5th gear top end like 120 ish he was slightly gaining with the nitrous off. Then his gf int he car orsomething makes a sign to slow down so we both slow down to abut 60 I wait for him to punch it then when he got that kick I downshifted to third at 60 spraying from 60-120mph. I pass him like nothing. He finally figured out this little econo-box civic had something in it so he quits. I laughed the **** out of this **** while passing him on 4th. Anyways I checked the stats iof this car and its like 225 hp to the wheels.
Didn't you just say his car had dealer plates? If I was him the last thing I'd be doing is redlining every gear on a new, expensive, not-broken in car. Maybe he wasn't racing the car to it's full potential.
what shot are you running. my last car was a 528i and that thing was way underestemated for hp. it was the 4 banger i belive and i dont remeber but probably only 180ish hp like the one you raced. but from what i remeber my turboed vic does not even come close to how quick the 528i was, not only that it still pulled hard 80+ heck it still pulled hard 120+.
maybe he had manual and could not drive?
i looked over what you said again that top down killed him my mom and my sister both own convertabuls and both with there top down feal as fast as my old stock civic (ok not as bad but there is a huge differance over 50). no way would he have lost if his top was up bmws pull way to hard for any civic at thows speeds for him not to pull on the civic. bmws have better gearing and are made for that. spraying or a turboed civic running low psi numbers.

top down kills aceleration, im sure s2000man can say thats true.
honestly the more i think about this and read over what you said the harder it is to belive even with the top down im still having problems.

it was a 1999 i know there was an option for a v6 i think, did not own the car my dad did was just mine to drive after he came home from work ect
i was 16 way back then so i dont remeber full engen specs due to i did not know crap about that stuff way back when.
top up hands down bmw if in the hands of a capabul driver would win. having both driven a bmw for 2 years almost every day and a civic for 3 years now i know what both are capabul of. im not saying that bmws are gods, but ya..... idk
i dont wana come off that im calling bs or any thing since well any things posible would just like more detales

99 540= 282-hp, 4.4-liter V-8
2005 325= 184-hp, 2.5-liter I-6
2005 330=225-hp, 3.0-liter I-6
The 330 coupe is capable of mid to high 14's stock and the covertable weighs 300lbs more plus the top was down so that might put it up in the low 15's. So in the 1/4 and up to 120mph an 80shot should do it, but after 120 he's got em on the top end cause from what I have been told spraying in fifth gear is bad. So IMO it's stupid to race with a N20 civic from an 80 MPH roll cause they are gonna pull on you once you hit fifth then pass your *** when you hit the speed limiter at 130.
But hey I guess I probally wouldn't pass the opporitunity to take out a bimmer either eventhough I prefer to do business at the track. Good kill again but I'd be careful who you race from an 80mph roll in the future.

his car was convertable. He didnthave it down man. Its like 12 o clock at night with 40 degree temperatures. And sorry to say, I took him through all gears (3,4)and 5th gear was the only gear he gained. After I turned off the switch. That **** was week. I noticed the dealer tags from begining when he did ricer fly-by to catch up to me.

Beamers r weak. My moms friend told me to drive her car to the dealer to get it fixed or something long time ago. I floored it cuz she wasnt there and I could feel way more power in my v6 accord. Those things are not the fastest.

hmmmm, I don't know about the story, but I think that it could happen. I raced a BMW 318ti with atleast an exhaust on the highway multiple times with a NA civic and owned that car all day long in whatever gear I was in. They are not that great. Now the M3s those are bad ***.

i'm pretty sure the 318's are 4 cyclinder's though. My housemate has a 04 330 ci and its a automatic and even the automatic pulls hard. He pulls till 140, he tested it out when he drove down from san jose to LA on 5 where you can see miles ahead of you and nothings nothing around.
I take the posters word that he beat him up to 120mph. Past that i have my doubts because most civics top out at around 120mph because of the rev limiter. I know for a fact a 330 ci can hit 140mph.

the 330 ci is limited to 125 mph or something. I read this last night on the specs of new release cars. And 120 mph isnt the max for our cars either. I can go 130, but my grl was in the car so we shut down after that..
