raced two of my friends mid-day yesterday. One was a mustang gt v6 5spd from a ditch from 10 mph. He had a person in his car a heavy sound system. I also had a person in my car with a heavy sound system. We went at three honks and damn those mustangs arent no match for our 4 cyl vics. I took him all the way. I had about maybe 5-8 cars ahead of him. couple cars ahead each gear

2nd race was with my other friend that has an accord lx 4 door with h22 5 spdand intake exhaust and i ono what else but he got some other **** too, nothing major but the engine swap. This guy really thought he could beat me. He beat me bfore but that was whewn my car was stock. we went on the light and i passed in by going to the right lane. til third gear he had 1 car on me then 4th i went all the way passed him slowly and had like 1-2 cars ahead of him. He was suprised and Im sure the next time i see him he is going to be pissed at me. This guy knows how to drive, he is known to drive good. after that he gave up and made aturn to his house or somewhere cuz i was out of si ght after that.

the mustang gt was funny because hes notreally my friend but my friends friend and I just know him. My friend tells me the mustang gt owner talks alot of bs about beating other cars yet he loses like nothing to my vic. we went twice, 2nd time I gav e him about 3 cars headstart and still couldnt keep up. He talks mad bs about rwd and yet stil lcouldnt kill a civic. I was also very lucky that day because speed went up to 100+ on a 35 mph street.

Nice kill on the accord...didnt know they made a GT V6 Mustang though...I thought it was either GT (which was a V8) or a V6 (base model)

yeah i dont want to say where i did it but it was all on the same street. th at street is good so i was crusing the street for like an hour looking for people whioch luckily i found two people i know. also people that were parked in their cars on the side honked at me lol.... they kept honking and honking cuz i passed by them twice or so at 100+mph speeds. after that i left so cops wont get me.
lets say if the cop did pull me and the other guy over for racing and radared us at 100, would we automatically go to jail and lose our cars or do we get to keep our cars?

oh and the h22 had no passangers but himself, he also has no sound system maybe thats why it took me til 4th to pass him.

yeah hes all talk so my friend wanted me to smoke him and prove him wrong. i know his was a v6 so if gt isnt v6 then its not. i thought gts were v6 and the cobras was v8???

yeah it was a reg v6 i think but still. if i took on him like that hard on a v6 then the gt has like 50 more horses with all that weight i wouldnt be suprised if i do take a gt, dont quote me on that though.his was older model so it could be a gt.

lol yeah he has a ricey GT badge on his v6 unless he just "said" it's a GT.

all mustang GT's are the V8's. and you'd have a tough time taking down one of those. a v6 is a 15 second car. the V8 is a 13 second car. thats a huge *** difference. i dont think you'd be takin a GT with an 80-shot and your couple other mods.

we did one on a roll from 10 mphish and another one starting around 60 where 3rd gear comes in handy and i gave him a 3 car head start and he still couldnt keep up. Even offline they still slow bro.

my 2nd gear synchro is definately damaged. 50% of time i shift 1st to 2nd my 2nd gear pops out to neutral when shifting 2nd gear above 6500k rpms.

thats what i thought about the h22 until i passed him. it was not a easy victory but i did beat him and now hes going to be mad at me and now were no longer friends probably cuz hes like that. he doesnt like to lose. anyways i thought the h22 had me til i shifted to 4th he had no chance.

In order to help clear up some confusion:

1. ALL GT's have V8's

2. Almost ALL mustangs have CRAPPY gearing, not good for getting off the line quickly, but I would still bet that even my V6 will get off the line better than most 7th gens (2.21 60' and improving) even with ~200rwtq and no LSD.

3. Here are some average times for recent mustangs for comparison purposes (note: all times are average and can be better or worse depending on conditions/driver/etc. and are denoted for MANUAL/AUTO):

94-98
GT: high 14's to low 15's/ mid to high 15's
V6: Low to mid 16's/ high 16's to low 17's

99-04
GT: high-high 13's to low 14's/ low to mid 14's
V6: mid 15's/ low 16's

As you can see, the auto's are much slower in all instances, and the 94-98 GT's and V6's are MUCH slower than the 99+ Mustangs. In the case of the V6's, various 7th gens should be able to beat all but the 99+ manuals stock vs stock, but in stock conditions and given equal drivers, it SHOULD take a few mods for a 7th gen to keep up with a well-driven stock 99+ MANUAL V6. Otherwise, given a manual, the 7th gen should do fairly well against the V6 Mustangs.

Definitely a v6 mustang you raced, and i'm betting that it was a 98 or so. 98's taillights were vertical but more rounded than the 99+. Those cars are completely different than the 99+. I think the 99+ v6 would still put up a pretty good fight against you because they have more torque than you. By the way were you on that 80shot of NOS you have in your profile when you raced these guys?

well, actually, they did sorta have GT v6's. it was a package for the v6 convertibles. it consisted of a GT hood scoop, mustang decals on the doors (the ones with the horses), and the word Mustang in black on the bumper. thats it. i think it was called the Pony Package? so i guess if it has that GT hoodscoop, then you can call it a GT v6? lol

umm, im not sure what year mustang it was but I do know what type it was and it was the year before the new retro. It looks like the 04s that i seen on ford website. Its not an 04 though. Its like maybe 00 or 99 or maybe 01 at the newest. once again we started once at 10mph and another at around 60 mph both times the stang had no chance against me. im going down to the shop to chill, ill see ifthe stang is there so i can ask him... he had a manual so whats all this talk about auto?
the stang had custom exhaust and some kind of msd ignition with no cat like me. For the rest of the stuff, i dont know what else he had those are the only mods i know of that he has in his car

LOL yo i used to live in lexington for 7 years... and one of my friends who has a Porsche 944 got a big *** fine speeding on that road.... Like seriously man anywhere near downtown Lex or near UK u cant be speedin the cops be hasslin over there.

I live in the Poconos Pennsylvania now, and when i went down to Lexington last summer i was speeding on Vine St and i got warned... i think the cop was easy on me since im out of state

??? i'm confused. the 01 looks the same as the 04.... so for him to say he knows it's the newer model cuz it looks like the 04 on ford's website, but he knows it's an older model year than the 04, like maybe a 99-01. he'd be right.
