Exactly..
That car can belt out sub 5 second 0-60s and outcorner just about every production car ever made. Hell, ive seen a video with one chasing a F40 or F50 (cant remember) around a track and the Ferrari could only pull away on the straights with its 300hp advantage, only to have it reeled back in on the turns with superior braking and handling.
The elise is so precisely balanced, doing anything other to the motor other then maybe a Supercharger, is a waste of time.

Rep Power: 0 If you saw the car in person u'd be weak in your knees...he bought it for 50K with everything on it, hard and soft top included, touring package and whatever else that is optional. It has AC, power windows, locks, blaupunkt stereo system and viper alarm. The seats are very flat, 2 inches thick but it does have some cushions. He bought it mainly for weekend driving, he has the three wheeler (scorpion) for daily driving.
I don't know why some of you guys hate on the car. Its NOT MADE to look pretty. If you want a pretty car, buy something else. If you want a car that handles like its on rails, buy this.

awesome, I saw a (exact) red one today in huntingbeach. Me and a couple of friends where waving to get his attention, and when the light turned green, he TOOK OFF! I got vids, ill post them in a different thread later.

Rep Power: 400 IMO, I'd rather have the lotus elise with the ITR engine. That car has been available as a converted street legal US lotus elise for a few years now. It's faster, and to my knowledge, better, than the USDM lotus elise. (this is an imported version of the car..... different from the USDM lotus here now)
am i an idiot??? have u seen what an lotus does with a k20a swap and jrsc??? of course u havent which is why u called me an idiot and i am sure if someone could afford that car then he could do other stuff. If u saw what lotus i am talking about then you wouldnt be saying remarks like u made. Btw i am not the idiot who said my civic with basic mods could take out a s2k rsx-s and celica IDIOT.
I personally don't like the look of the car at all, but whoever purchassed it obviously did. So that is all that matters. The cars performance on the track/autox is unmatched by any car within that price range. I would rather have one of the older ones though, I really don't know much about them as far as performance, but they look great. Hotrod and I saw one at the shop this weekend looked like the thing blew an oil line. It must have had 2 qts. of oil down the side

Rep Power: 0 Thats my favorite car of all time They are supposedly discontinuing the Elise, rereleasing it as the Exige and hopefully making it a tiny bit longer and wider like they say. Unfortunately as of right now, i cant fit inside one. 6 foot 2 inches and 260lbs, my shoulders touch the pilar and passenger seat . You have one lucky friend. Awesome ride :thumbsup:
