cool guy in an Impala SS (supercharged)
I had the top down today because it got to about 50 degrees today and was gorgeous outside.
After leaving work, I found a guy who wanted to play in his 04 impala. He was behind me at a light and I took off pretty quickly. He accelerated and caught up a little bit after and then moved into the next lane.
We ended up at a light next to each other, but a launch was out of the question as I'm still on winter tires. The light turned and he went, and I floored it once I had the clutch out as quick as I could.
I pulled away pretty easily, and shut down with several cars on him by 80.
Afterward however, he ended up next to me at the next light. He rolled down his window to chat.
Him: Hey man what kinda engine is in that?
Me: just a stock 2 liter 4 cylinder.
Him: no sh*t! wow, and I thought my supercharged 6 was pretty hot.
Me: lol yeah well honda got as much as they could out of this one.
Him: is that even supercharged or anything?
Me: nope. just 240hp stock.
Him: lol wow that's what mine has. damn honda knows what they're doin!
Me: lol yeah they are peppy little cars. I think your system has mine beat though.
Him: lol yeah gotta have my tunes.
Me: well enjoy the nice day cruisin in your impala!
Him: yeah you too. nice car!
Always nice to meet people like this, regardless of what they drive.

Rep Power: 0 cool encounter. after 3+ years in my civic got my first complement my self friday. if making a that rock symbyl or wahtever with a hand and screaming out his window hell ya or something like that is a complement rofl
hey you ever went all the way with that s2k yet? if so whats the highest mph you can go. I can go about 130 easily and mine still pulls but I just want to know how fast other cars especially the s2k can go top end.

Rep Power: 343 hrmm wish i could me people like that. Hell last might i was riding in squirrelcivic's S2000 and some highschool kids started talking about the Ferrari they drove (they were walking BTW) and how it would smoke us. They all later got into a beat up Ford explorer

but I don't think S2000 engine's small... I think S2K has the biggest engine as far as Honda make/model engine out the market... IMO

(note that physical size and displacement are two completely different things)

Rep Power: 306 so i assume that no other honda trannys mate with s2000 engines? if they did i'm sure we would have seen some swapped into civics and such.

Rep Power: 401 correct. mostly because the S2000 engine is not mounted transversely, and the RWD changes the position of the tranny. not to mention the oil pan and other parts attach to both the engine and transmission (like an F1 car) to promote rigidity.

the entire engine was completely designed from scratch and contains designs, engineering, and parts found in no other honda.
