My vic ex vs 02 cavalier coupe (ecotec) and 02? neon sxt Ok,(i have an auto keep this in mind) in the past i have talked about my buddies ls sport coupe cavy and his ecotec and how i just cant beat him. Ah well things sort of changed today. We decided to go for a drive cuz we were bored. Its about 430 and were in michigan where hes house sitting. Well, michigan doesnt have state troopers, they have state police and u NEVER see them in this area of michigan.
ANyways...were going up 23 north just cruisin and a yellow neon sxt is on my a$$. I dont think much of it untill i hear him floor it and pass me on the right. Well, i punch it in 3rd. After a lil bit he stops gaining and i start to pull on him. The cavalier is still behind me and NOT gaining, i'm gaining on him, the one who usually beats me so i wuz naturally excited about this. In hte mean time i have pulled up onto the neon at 115 and he wuz at my door. Then traffic came into play. I was in 4th at this time and 4th gear on an auto sux when yru going that fast thats why i use 3rd then go into 4th when 3rd redlines. So the neon just backs off for the rest of the time and we get off at the next exit and turn around.
When we get back on 23 south i wuz behind the cavalier. When we cleared a truck he punches it right as i punch it. This time at 80 i'm pullin on him. I couldnt believe it. I was pulling on this cavalier that for so long has spoiled my day and makes me feel slow. Once again as i was right next to him and going(by this time we were close to where hte cavaliers restrictor comes into play) the traffic shows up again, we get off and go home and eat.
I just thought i'd share this. No i'm not boosted or even have a 5 spd, but for once it was exciting to beat somebody, even if its an expressway race, which i peresonally find more exciting.
